What are your must haves? Your favourite things to use? What colour palates do you find easier to work with?

ME? I love ribbons, strings and bows. I love old vintage envelopes and cards. I love greenery and foliage of any kind.

I am a dark colour gal. I love the earth tones. Rich browns, oranges and blacks. Deep greys and reds and blues. I love to accent with black. (I struggle with pastels tremendously) A great purple is always wonderful.

I love scatters. I like them to be bits and bobs of original things. Little hearts and beads are great, but I love when a designer gets out of the box with scatters. I'd love to see someone use WORD scatters! That would be cool.

I love little word bits in different and unique shapes. I love quotes. A kit with word art quotes is a bonus to me!

I also love a great mask and paint.

I am straying from using so many templates but I must admit...I'm addicted to them. :)

I'm addicted to templates! :36_1_33:
My old brain is so tired, I struggle to think up an idea without one. Plus I have so many photos......
I LOVE bundles! I love the option to purchase the 'whole deal' together as one <giggle>:kisses</giggle>
I like pretty much all colors. By a glance at my gallery, I'm all over the place on color. Purple most likely the weakest choice.

I like more bang for my buck!!! I LOVE "the deal"...of any kind!!!

I love templates!!! Especially when they are in .page format! :36_1_11:

And I LOVE bright colors in kits! The bright colors just make me happy!!!!

Elements that fit the theme! I love having a kit that has at least 80% of the elements fit the theme of the kit!

I too like bright colors, but I also like boyish colors since most of my pages are of my sons.

I also really like fasteners (ie stitches or staples)

Another template junkie here...I Big-Puffy-Heart LURVE templates!

I love kits that are unique - themes, elements, papers that are different from what everyone else has out.

I love bright colors. Bold & bright! Yum! I really struggle with pastels.

I really love a wide variety of flowers and greens - lots of goodies to cluster!

I also really like an assortment of papers - solid, bold patterns and blended patterns.

I love patterned paper and paper stuff. I am a paper/realistic scrapper and I love blocking. I also love fasteners, specially buttons. I love bright and happy colors and a little bit of bold for contrast.

I have to say looking at my store and my pages I tend to go with earthy tones esp blues and oranges (warm orange, not like Effy's hair..hunger games for those that don't know). I have two little boys and seem to dress them in a lot of orange as well so that is my go to color usually.

Elements...love strings, word bits, buttons..I use flowers on my boy pages too so a good variety of them is nice. Themed elements are fun as well but I like it when a kit is versatile..buy it for X theme but can use it for Y as well. (if that makes sense).

Great thread...as a designer it is nice to know what folks are looking for in a kit.

I love it all :)
Flowers, strings, swirls, paint, splatters, attachment (stitching/staples), word arts and/or strips....

If it's a themed kit, I agree with the other ladies that there should be plenty of elements to match the theme, not 2 elements and oodles of flowers.

I'm a subtle patterned paper person...

I find orange really hard to work with--unless I pair it with blue. When I look at my gallery, I think I probably use blue the most--more than any other color!! I like fasteners--and yes, I even use flowers on my boys layouts. I'm weird. I don't block a lot of layouts--I never really got into the pl thing. I do use TEMPLATES all the time. I especially love the blended backgrounds one, or the paint in the background ones that you can clip to. I like new things, but for as long as I've been scrapping "new" is usually a remake of an "old" from before! which is fine. I've found that things cycle through, then you see it again!!

Trace, I am with you on 90% of what you said. I love earthy tones the most and tend to be attracted to a lot of the antiquey kits because I love the colors in them. Brown and orange are my favs and I love a dark BG paper when I scrap. Something I love to use when scrapping, but rarely see, are things that can hang or dangle from a chain or a string, and I adore stitches, and scatters in the BG of a page add so much I think. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, haha. Great thread.

I'm drawn to a kit or element pack if there's some creative use of stitches. Always catches my eye!
And I absolutely love it when a designer includes a fastener for alphas that utilitizes stitches to "hold" the letters in place, esp when there is more than one color for this purpose!

I love patterned papers but I prefer when there's some sort of solids (even shabby solids) to go with them.
Flowers and foliage...
I love ribbons but struggle to use them.

I think my page styles reflect the people or places I'm scrapping. For my husband I stay cleaner and simpler because I know he likes that style. I scrap my sister in pink a lot because she hates pink and I'm mean, lol. When I scrap myself I use blue a lot because that's my favorite color. I scrap my stepson in a lot of primary colors because that's what he wears. If I get a certain colored kit to scrap with, I almost always think of a specific person.
I love all. the. things. Flowers, tags, DOILIES, leaves, paint splotches, scatters, flair, journal cards- they're all my favorites. Wood, chipboard, lace. Just everything. Except I have a hard time with stitches, which it seems most of y'all love. I don't know what to do with them, where to put them. how to shadow them... I never use them unless they're shown in a template. Maybe I should challenge myself to use stitches.
