Snow??? Really Mother Nature?

Okay, I know I live in Canada. I know people think we live in igloos. (we aren't eskimos people!) and I know many people think we get five feet of snow year round. In fact, I remember being in University in Windsor and it bordered Michigan and in MAY one year, two guys crossed the bridge and had skis on the car and were in winter clothing asking us where all the snow was! I also remember being at the NASCAR race in JUNE in Michigan and a clueless dude seriously asked me if A) we got American TV over here, and B) How did we watch TV in houses made of ice? He was totally serious!

At any rate, I digress....

They are calling for snow here for this weekend. BEFORE Halloween!!! I must admit, as a kid, there are many photos of my brothers and I at Halloween wearing snow suits under our costumes because it was so cold, but there was NEVER EVER snow before Halloween!!!

Ugh....it's going to be a loooong winter:cryhard:36_1_4:

ROFL!! You don't live in an igloo?? And you get American TV? Wow! Who woulda thunk?!

Today is the first day in a long time that it's been below 90 degrees...I would LOVE some colder weather!!

I hope it isn't too bad for you :kisses

Yup, my parents said we should be okay, but for a while there was a scare of snow here in PA! I have a feeling it's going to be a long winter too. I remember one or two snowfalls before or on Halloween, but it's been a very long time since that happened!

I feel for you Trace. I'm with Tammy on temperature under 90. This week has been pretty good. We've been able to turn off the AC at night...and it has not clicked back on before noon. At present [7:40 am] it's 65!

I watched the Today show yesterday and Al Roker said cooler and wetter for the eastern part of the country.

I envy those of you who live in warmer climates! My life goal is to live on the beach in the tropics in a tiny house with a porch, a garden and steps from the water so I can fish! When my kids are grown and on their own, I am SO there!!

Woke up this morning to a house that's 60 degrees inside (DH FINALLY turned the furnace on!) and -2 temps outside!!!! I say Global warming my left butt cheek!! LOL

We had a frost last night, with temps in the 20's, but no snow yet where I am. (southern Maine) They got some a bit farther north in the mountains though! UGH!

But the real question is... do you have polar bears digging through your trash at night? :P

I feel your pain, here in WI we've seen snow a few times already, luckily nothing has stuck!

But about 6 years ago we had a quite a bit of snow October 12th :p And I'm sure its happened since then as well, but only remembered that since my friend reminded me on FB - haha!

My boys have never seen snow fall... I didn't see it until I was an adult.
I guess when you don't live with it year in-year out, it's interesting!

Even with there being mountains in CA? That's funny! We lived in CA for two years and made a trip to the mountains in the winter. lol
