In December I needed an extremely serious(and unexpected)surgery. Spent nearly 3 weeks in and out of CCU's(had some major complications after the surgery). I am now slowly getting some strength back(aided by walker/cane).

But, I am writing this for all of GS to see..not just to tell you about my health, but, to share with y'all the kindness of the people that are members here. We often hear about how this place feels like "family"..and it was proven to me that it is!!!.

Last week I received a care package(i call it a love package) from Ginger. This package arrived at one of the lowest times since december . It was filled with cards and well wishes...and personal/inspirational notes from designers and CT's...along with wonderful goodies..and, I wondered how they knew what my favorite colors, teas, scents,etc were(hmm..come to find out that TMS=Becca...my daughter..had a hand in it:)).

I will admit, publicly, that some of these personal notes touched me so, that I cried. The time you all took to do that for me will never be forgotten. I pray that you all Believe because you will be rewarded ten fold for this awesome act of kindness! I will also thank my wonderful Sugar Cookie Team(who have worried about their "mama")..all of you who have contacted me via FB(yes, some have even physically visited me too...lol)...and Ginger and Missi for their love and patience with me(and although I am A LOT older than they are...I "felt" them worry, like a mama would).So, I will close by saying that GS is not just a digi place to have fun...but truly a digi family(with awesome Prayer Warriors!)..

Thankyou Lydia for sharing this and it is good to read that you are now recovering. I pray that your recovery will go well and quickly for you.
 
Lydia, my dear... you do so much for GS and for the members here. Everybody in the digi-world knows GS has the best, most sincere praise team on the web (and I'm proud to be part of that!), something you're an integral part of... you're the one who keeps us going. How could we not reciprocate? Mama Cookie, you're such a loving, gentle person and we only want the best for you!

This post makes my heart burst! Though I have been sparse the last couple years(days with littles are long, years are short right?!) I have been a part of this community for almost 7 years now(we've almost made it past the itch!) and Lydia, I've always considered you a good friend in this time, often chatting behind the scenes with me and always leaving me sweetness on layouts. It makes my heart so happy to hear how truly supportive and loving this community is! <3 <3 <3 Lydia, it's good to hear you are on the mend, your continued strength and healing are in my prayers! <3

You said the doctor didn't outlaw it so we are sending you something for medicinal purposes. Will keep you in my prayers and have a glass in your honor. PS. the picture is a couple years old, it was during my "red hair" stage.

So glad you're doing better. I was so shocked when I saw you were in the hospital! We need you here at GS!
