Scrapping While Traveling

I love scrapping and I even digital scrap while camping, but I find it hard sometimes because most of my photos and past products are on hard drives at home. I will be working on something that needs a photo from home and it is frustrating to have to make do with what I have with me.

My husband had to adjust our internet plan for our camper because I need to be connected. He tried to be frugal at first but figured out he would rather pay out than have me griping all the time about no service.

It is nice not having interruptions while I am scrapping other than an occasional "wanna go fishing." He plays on his phone, looking at facebook stuff while I am busily creating layouts. Yesterday an issue came up with our website so that I was unable to post my dice roll, so today he is suppose to be contacting support to get that fixed.

If it is not one thing, it is something else.

I have switched all of my digital storage to OneDrive and have my photos also backed up to Google Photos and Amazon Photos so everything is available to me as long as I have a connection.
When I first started digital scrapping I used the Project Life app which made it really easy to scrap on the go as everything was on my phone but it just became too simplistic for me and I wanted to be able to do more with my layouts so switched to Affinity and now only scrapbook on my laptop so it isn't as easy to scrap on the go as it used to be, but the trade off was worth it. One of the days I am going to save up and get myself a new iPad and then since Affinity has a great iPad app I will be able to scrap on the go again.

I love that your hubby upgraded your service for you. That sounds like such a lovely way to spend time away from home. We don't travel much and when we do we are usually on-the-go from sun up to sun down. Unless we're visiting family, then I like to bring my laptop and work on my scrapbooking while we sit around visiting.

I've been using PSE since I started scrapbooking in 2009, but have lots of friends who use Affinity. I may have to check it out, especially if I could use it on the go.

I do not use my phone for scrapping so I am afraid when I go on vacation, I won't be doing any scrapping. I guess if we had a camper trailer I would have to figure something out, maybe get a laptop to scrap with while traveling. But for now, I just wait until I get home.

I have never heard of Affinity. I will have to look into that. Thanks for all the great info.
