Scrapbook retreat?

Anyone hosting or know of someone hosting a digital scrapbooking retreat? Doesn't have to be local to me. I travelled across the US to outside Vegas a few years ago for one.

Hubby and I decided we needed a break from all the remodeling and life in general. He's doing his thing with his friends for a 5 day getaway. I was hoping to do the same.

I did do google search and there are a lot of places listed; hard to sort through--most for paper scrapbooking, some said computers also. there were a couple of 'virtual weekend scrapbooking retreats' listed. If you do a search for 'scrapbook retreat directory' there is a list of 200 --looks like you pay $1 for downloadable list.

Who would be willing to come to a laptop crop retreat in California? I would be delighted to host one.

I am far, far too far away for anything in person, but I would be happy to try and attend a digital meetup.

I wanted in person to get away. But virtual would be fun as well.
In person you have no other obligations. Virtual ladies come and go through the whole time the "retreat" is open. Been to both. Virtual ones are hit and miss in my opinion.

Scrapping and Disney?! Now that'd be fun. I hope in the future to attend a crop or retreat. Just don't see it happening til maybe next year.

How does a virtual retreat work? I picture in person being as much about making friends, learning by seeing and doing, having talks etc. as doing the scrapping. Can this happen virtually?

I've "stopped in" to a virtual scrap once. If you have ever done a speed scrap where people scrap and chat, it is similar in that it is online and you can have conversations randomly. They have challenges, sometimes done hourly, sometimes daily, depending how "long" the virtual crop is. They have give-a-ways, special chats and events. It all depends how it is run and on what platform, be it FB, a forum, zoom or whatever else is available.
These sort of remind me of International Scapbooking weekends with all the events going on!
I believe Carla (she used to be on my CT team) used to run one.

Thanks for answering my question. Sounds like it could be fun. I would love a video aspect, short classes perhaps where experts can teach others how to o certain things. Still I would try to participate.

I remember the one we did in Utah with Scraps N Pieces....Lily we roomed together that weekend. It was a blast. I have never laughed so hard in my life. We made some amazing memories and got a little scrapping done as well. I have made lifetime friends from it. <3
