My scanner of 15 years is dying on me. I really can't complain though. I got a lot of use out of it.
I am however feeling overwhelmed. I have no idea what to look for. There is a limit to funds (and I am a Canadian so exchange rates will impact cost!) So I am wondering what people are happy with?
I am looking for it to go up to at least 600 dpi. Scanning negatives/slides would be a plus but not completely necessary as I can borrow a scanner from my local library to scan those (although I don't know quality!) And as much as the ones that can do multiple photos would be a help, I also need to be able to scan delicate things as well....so a flatbed would be needed. (Or to win the lottery I don't play and buy both!)
I have at least 3 big rubbermaid containers full of photos that will need to be scanned, so something that will last more that the odd photo here or there.
Any help or even points in the right direction would be wonderful!
Thanks
