Do your kids still believe in Santa and how old are they? I have a 7 and a 4 year old and am hoping they believe for a couple more years!!

Nope, but they are 28 and 15 years old - LOL. My 15-year old actually believed for a long time though - until she was about 12.

I had to spill the beans to my son last year after Christmas. He was still right into believing and he was 13. I hated doing it, but he was being bullied so bad at school and I didn't want him to be further made fun of for believing. He took it really well and I was glad I told him. He said he was thinking it was impossible for a guy to ride in a sleigh around the entire world in 24 hours. He also said he always thought it was strange that Santa knew what he wanted when he never said anything to him. lol. Now, he keeps the secret for my 6 year old DD.

She told me last night actually, that she needed to go to see the "fake mall Santa". I said "what do you mean fake?" (I was like NO! Not at 6!!) and she replied "Come on Mommy, I know that Santa is too busy to come to each mall...he sends his fake Santas. Don't worry though, I won't tell anyone!" HAHAHHA....She's too smart for her own good.

My kids are 14, 16 & 22, so they don't believe in Santa anymore ;)

I had to tell my daughter the truth when she was in 2nd grade because most of the kids already knew (so sad!) and she was practically getting into fist fights defending Santa! LOL!

We let my boys believe a little longer, but because they are so close in age, they found out at the same time... Funny thing was, my youngest son had a kid in his class at school whose family never taught them that Santa was real (weird reasoning...), so that kid came to school and told all the kids that Santa was fake. The rest of the class still believed and stood up for Santa. Thankfully, the kid's parents told him that he had to keep his trap shut! Haha! :D

oh with my boys being 14 and 18 they don't believe anymore.... and for me this is not so important... so I don't remember when I have told them the truth.....

My oldest is 10 and he hasn't believed since he was like 6 or 7, but my other son is 5 and I'm not sure if he believes or not. Some days he acts like he does, some days he doesn't. I know that he's looking forward to going to see Santa in the Nursery (our tradition) next weekend though so meh.

What?????????????????

I still BELIEVE!!!!! IF it wasn't for the magic of Christmas - there wouldn't be a Santa at all...which is why we ALL do kinder things for loved ones and strangers at this time of the year. YES Santa is alive and resides a bit in all of us sent to us from above.

I don't think my son (14) believes there is a Santa anymore....but my daughter? HECK YEAH!!! She will be 11 in January - and I am in no rush to have her know, either. In fact, tonight she showed me a website that is a "camera" in Santa's house watching him. She was so excited to show me!!! AND...we have an Elf named Charlie - that she wrote to the first night he was here....3 days ago! And yes, Charlie wrote her back!!! Ooops...I have to go and move him...I mean, he has to fly home to report to Santa!!!!

What's the link?! My kids would love to see that!!

Mine are 9, 7 and 1... they still believe. I'm glad I came upon this post though, because I was wondering also when an appropriate time, and how to tell my oldest first without her spoiling it for the boys.....

My almost 10 year old still wants to believe, but after pretending about Santa for the last 24 years, I just got tired. And didn't do a very good job at make believe with her.
