Really Bad Blurry Pics

Would you ever scrap them? I'm looking through my iPhoto library and I made the mistake of trusting about a year of memories to a first generation iPhone. The pictures are terrible. Would you scrap them anyway? Have you? Have you been happy with the end product?

Just to be clear - Lightroom and photo editing can't help these - they're plain blurry and grainy!

Some of my favorite pics are that way courtesy of my iPhone! I've used a few and blended them into the background, or done them small in a layout with lots of white space. Fortunately my 6S takes better pics but I'm still trying to make the effort of using my big camera more often!

I have a ton of terrible blurry early generation phone photos (blackberry treo anyone?) I used them anyway, especially because when I first started scrapping, that was all I had. For my first year or two of scrapping I didn't edit them at all and they make me cringe a little. I'm still glad I have them though. Now if I want to scrap those, I'll usually turn them black and white.

Yes, I usually make mine pretty small too. Blending is a great idea too.

I have never used a phone for photos (I've never owned a smart phone!) so I have not scrapped blurry photos - the occasional one that comes from my camera I just delete because I'm not going to miss it... I don't know what I'd do if I had a whole month's worth or more! Cry probably- LOL

Yep. I am making sure that I at least carry my pocket Nikon, but on the big things I will take the luggable... {Canon Rebel}. LOL

That's what I did today - I turned the pictures to sepia and they DO look better.

I forgot my camera at my Mom's burial and that made me really sad. There's only one chance for those. I had to rely on other people's cell phone pictures, and a few people did have pretty good cameras so I have some.

Yes I typically still use them - if that's the ONLY thing I have! Some are better than NONE. Don't make them too big, and sometimes BW or sepia does help!

The memories are what is important. If I don't have anything better, then I scrap what I have - blurry or not!!

Could you show me what they look like in a page? Maybe I just need to see someone else do it.

For this one, all that I had was my phone. None of the pics are great, but it was a great memory. I used the best of the ones that I have. They aren't "horrible", just not crisp

And for these 2, I only had the couple of blurry ones and I was able to search the web for images to add to mine
to finish telling my story

For me, having never ventured beyond Auto on a point and shoot camera and now using my and family phone pics, scrapbooking is all about recording the memory and story. I do have great admiration and am often in awe of the beautiful crisp clear photos that others take though.

Those are great ideas!! Your photos are better than my iPhone pics...

You could always do a layout with them ABOUT THEM BEING BLURRY and why! :) Then you get the memories down and explain why they are blurry and use the too! :O)

I have forgotten my camera on occasion and wished I had a smart phone then but not enough to spend the money on one and on the monthly fees - I'm CHEAP! LOL

I only use my phone for pictures now, even with my small point and shoot, I'm too lazy to bring it around. I do have blurry pictures and I would use them on layouts. I can't think of any specifically right now, but I agree with the others...I'm totally just repeating what everyone has said, lol..

-use them small
-or use them blended
-use them in b/w or sepia
-or talk about why it's blurry

If you do not have a camera or no picture, do what Meagan said and search for images on the web. I do that sometimes with P52 layouts like if we watched a movie and I didn't get a chance to take pictures...

I totally scrap them! When my kids and I moved from Arizona to Washington, I had nothing but my phone to capture our memories. The quality is not good, the memory is still there. So I say yes!

Check my gallery - I did 3 selfies with my blurry cell phone pics with your kit "Stars in Your Eyes"...and turning them sepia helped a lot!

Great ideas!! I did that with my page on the Bourghese Museum in Roma, Italy because they did not allow pictures to be taken. I scoured the web and found pictures of the sculptures or paintings that I liked.

If they are memories you want preserved then you better scrap them. That's my opinion. Toss what really has no meaning but then do the above suggestions for scrapping with them so those memories are not lost.

Black and white. Everything looks better in black and white!

I have crappy digital pics. I have crappy film pics. I keep and use them all, because they're still memories. :D
Memories of improvement, movement, or even the change in technology! :D
