If you were poking around the gallery and found a type-o on some random person's LO, would you say something to that person or just ignore it?

I would want someone to say something to me, personally.

I pm if I notice if I feel I 'know' the person. And PLEASE...tell me when it's my LO.

I've noticed a couple of typos on some of my layouts. I really should update them in the galleries - but I'd rather be scrapping new pages! ;)

I'll say no - lol. Even if I notice a typo on my own layout I don't care and I don't go back and change it. Once it's done it's done and if there's a mistake then big deal, it shows I'm not perfect. I was the same when I paper scrapped, I didn't re-write journaling once a layout was done.

I usually don't, unless I know them fairly well. But anyone feel free to PM me if you notice something on mine! I think it will be a fun game or future generations to spot the screw ups on crazy Aunt Jen's scrapbook pages.

My daughter is always proofreading any scrapbooks I have done and pointing out mistakes. I told her she's now in charge of proofreading anything before I send it off to be printed! She gladly accepted!

Haha! Whenever anyone looks at my printed scrapbook pages, they always point out the random type-o! Now I make my husband proof them before I get them printed!!!

I always send them to my husband to proofread too, but he doesn't catch everything. He does tell me if something is "historically inaccurate", like if I've put the wrong year in the date, which is very helpful.

Definitely tell me! I know that when I am SMART and type in Word first and then copy/paste then I am able to find the typos quickly and can fix them. But, when I type right into PSE, there is no autocorrect or anything that notifies me of misspellings. It's so annoying to find them after spending hundreds of dollars in a printed book.

I don't think I've ever PMed someone; but PLEASE PM if you see a typo on my pages. Sometimes GIMP is just acting stupid and it won't let me easily correct the text, but I'd rather it not have typos...it drives me nuts when I'm ready on my kindle and I see typos in books. I wish I could highlight them and send it to the publisher!

I have before, especially if they are familiar. But yes, please tell me. Sometimes I'll catch it when I post and try to redo immediately. I don't have so many typos per se, but sometimes I miss a word or they get jumbled up. My mind thinks faster than my fingers! lol

This is me, for sure! It drives me nuts that PSE doesn't have a spell check! And since I print out my pages, it glares at me from the printed page!!

I would not. You never know if the artist knows and just didn't change it.

However, if it were a designers' kit yes, I would. Just because they are selling them.

Interesting story...

Many moons ago when rubons were all the rage. I noticed packaging for Making Memories rub ons that spelled the word Journey like Jorney. I emailed the company and they were SO happy I did so that they sent me a year's worth of scrapping products. A HUUUUGE box of stuff they made. Back then, they made a TON of stuff ranging from papers to stickers to amazing elements. That box was so big and stuffed full, it took me days to sort through it all.

Just a fun memory..lol

I'd like to know, but chances are by the time someone messages me (or I read it), I've already discovered the error and fixed it myself. If I notice a typo in the gallery, depending on where I am, I'll message the person, but sometimes I just move on because I'm on a commenting roll and don't want to get distracted.

I would in most cases NOT notify someone if I see an error unless it is someone I "know" well. What annoys me so much is that I can look at a LO of my own over and over but it's not until I upload it that I notice a boo boo!!! Seems every LO I post I have to edit or re-upload it several times (slight exaggeration:)), not just for typos but to nudge something here or there. Why cant I see those things BEFORE I upload....grrrr

I think it is funny that we all want people to tell us, but have only PMed someone else if it is someone we know :)

I probably would never PM someone about it but i am glad to know that many people want you to. Also when I find type'o's I normally fix it on my printed layout but not my gallery layout because it's such a pain to resize, re-upload blah blah blah. But yes please tell me as well so I can fix my print size layout! :D

I promise that you will find typos in my gallery. It wouldn't bother me if someone pointed it out to me. I think some people it would though. So...I would probably only say something if I knew the person.

My feeling is that you should tell the person -- they can always decide what to do with that information. I think I always preference it with "You probably already know this ..."

And I definitely always want to know. I am so lucky -- I have two friends and we share all of our LOs before we upload so we can check each other's work. We don't always catch them, but having two more sets of eyes has definitely saved me a few times :)
