dear designers, me and my husband have started a small IT business and I was looking around the net getting the idea of newsletter and then thought I would ask you ladies about it.
Like which program do you use? is there any site we can can register to, which keeps track of clicks and traffic that you get from it and is it really worth it? how many times a year you send it
and is Word a good enough software for starters?
Would appreciate any insight on the topic

Hi Annu!

I've used MailChimp for several years. It allows up to 2,000 Subscribers and 10,000 Sends Per Month for Free. They have several Newsletter Templates that you can simply customize for your business. I send Newsletters once per month (that is what my customer base advised they wanted when polled) and each Newsletter I send, creates a report as to which subscribers opened the Newsletter, and goes into depth as to which links were clicked on and how many times, etc., so you can see what the most popular information within each Newsletter is. They also allow you to create Landing Pages, etc., and keep adding more things all the time.

I also use Mailchimp and I send out newsletters weekly with each new release. Rarely, I send out an extra with a big sale or special, but that's not too often.
