Question about giving credit in the gallery

I am noticing that the credits I give on my layouts sometimes disappear. Is there a reason for this happening? It cannot be that I am using designers products from elsewhere because one layout was totally from Ginger Scraps yet the credits I typed disappeared.
 
When you go to the gallery click upload photos, add the file you want to upload, then instead of adding credits on this page go to the bottom and click upload/submit and then on the next page add your credits and then when you upload/submit your layout the credits should not disappear, this works for me anyway.
 
I am receiving PM's saying my LO's contain "outside advertising" which is not permitted. One example mentioned is: https://gallery.gingerscraps.net/showphoto.php?photo=171997&title=our-christmas-tradition&cat=802

The writer is saying because I used something from another website I needed to edit out the name or she would do it. The name is NOT a link to the website.

The first time I received this type of PM I found somewhere on the website where it was explained but I can't find it again. The post was from "The Queen" and says:

Store names are ok.
The point of no links is because we don't want to just be a CT dumping ground. Once you open a gallery up with links then you tend to get a ton of people only coming to post in our gallery for CT requirements. Not actually involved in GS. I'm happy to support fellow designers and store by letting Scrapper's give credit- but opening up links causes issues.

So ya store names are ok :)

Has this policy changed?

  • Recommended size is 600 by 600 pixels
  • GingerScraps products AND Non- GingerScraps allowed
  • NO links to Non-GingerScraps products please
  • NO advertising products by just showing preview of product- you can "advertise" by posting a LO and leaving the designer and kit name in the credits.
  • NO posting names or links to any shop, it is perfectly ok to credit the designer and name the product, but please do not advertise shops.
  • No photos containing obscene, nude, violence, illegal activity
  • Remember to list all credits with your LO
 
It must of changed a long time ago because I don't remember ever being able to use outside links in our credits. All I remember is being able to use the designer name and the name of the kit etc.
