QOTD: 02/04 What is....

I have a couple I like to use all.the.time.....flowers, buttons, ribbon/string.

If you had asked me a year ago, I would have said I almost never use journal cards. I just thought...meh....not a big deal, don't need them but then fast forward a year and now I love them. So now I can't say I never use them. I think my love of JC's started when I changed my style a bit and started filling up the page more and then there was more room to fit them into my page design.

But....one thing I amost never use is swirls. Sometimes I can fit one into a cluster easily enough but for some reason, often I keep moving/rotating and it just doesn't please me. I've gotten better at figuring out how to fit one into my page but I'm still not 100% comfortable with them. Ha ha....ask me in a year and I'll probably say I love them :)

It is really hard for me to do a layout without a flower on it. I need clusters. and grunge, paint brushes or splatters. I love ribbons and buttons too but I have to have flowers. I will pass on a gorgeous kit if I see it doesn't have many flowers.

There are so many elements I like to use but I am always drawn for some reason to.... stitches.

I mostly use flowers and leaves with some string or ribbon. I truly love stitching though. I also like a little swirl hear and there.

I am really drawn to stickers and chipboard elements in kits. I love layouts that incorporate a bunch of them with really good shadowing. But I struggle to use them. I can never get them to cluster right and they seem to fall flat, pun intended.

I'm a flower girl too. I've been trying a bit more lately to add more than just flowers and leaves to my clusters. I'm not sure why, but I struggle to use ribbon and bows outside of clusters. Also buttons. I almost never think to use them unless the template has a spot for them. But I love flair, which makes NO sense. Journal cards are favorites too, since I do a lot of pocket scrapping.

I find myself mostly using flowers and leaves, so typical, lol! I don't use journal cards or frames much.

Lots of favs.....Love curly string, grunge stamps, grunge edges, paint spatters, scatters, torn edges, brackets (don't get to use them nearly enough), flowers, leaves, lace, doilies. Rarely use heavy or ornate frames, journal cards......

I love flowers and leaves and anything I can put in a cluster. I also look for splatters, scatters or the like. I don't use lined papers or journal cards. I used to use alphas a lot but not any more.

I mostly use flowers and strings. I rarely use journal cards, partly because the journaling aspect of layouts scares me.. I am getting better at adding the word type of details but it’s taking a while!

This is a hard question because I have SO many things I love! One thing I look for when purchasing kits is for something unique - not just the same flowers and things that I always see. I like unique metal elements or handmade flowers or tulle or just something totally different. I love flowers SO much, and I need at least 3 or 4 really pretty ones in a kit. I also love paint and splatters and almost always use those. If there is metal in a kit, I love to use that too. I rarely use illustrations or flairs.

Flower girl for sure. I do love brushes especially grungy border ones. I should try incorporating more frames and flairs. Any metal elements I try to use. Not a fan of to much bling:)

I really like glitter. Like. A lot. Sparkles! I try to be tasteful with it, but it's my favourite thing to clip to brushing to add dimension. I also like cut-out shapes, and I use buttons a lot.

I love flowers, leaves, buttons, paint splatters and wordbits. I never use glitter papers, don't like them at all :).

There are so many elements I love on a page. However I don't use flowers on my grandson's pages. Or if there is one, it's rare.

Paint and brushes! Love them both. I also love flowers, leaves and ribbon.

I don't use much bling, book plates, bottle caps or ornate frames.

Right now I'm focused on getting my son's album done so I'm seeing lots of gears and stars in my clusters. I love curly string and ribbons, anything metal, spatters and scatters, and fun themed elements.
