Proud Grandmothers - Please Join Me

So nice Lynnie...certainly a busy and exciting time for them. I am so jealous...England is my DREAM vacation and will go when I retire, but can't wait! You will have an Amazing time there with the grandies.

My boys just purchased the Ancestory DNA kit for my birthday next month...they are shipping it today! So excited!

We have done the same for the kids. Now they are as old as they are, our tree is QUITE full.

The deed was recorded, so the house is now theirs. I can't wait to see it. What a thrill! My daughter texted to let us know she is moving in with them at the weekend. We knew she was moving in, but not quite as quickly! She is getting back from Mexico tomorrow and leaving for Las Vegas next week. Crazy schedule this lassie keeps. Her dog lives her life between Karen and this amazing ranch that keeps dogs with owners who have long-term absences. Geisha knows Karen is coming back, so she doesn't get anxiety and loves her life at the Ranch.

Getting ready to visit the grandkids in England soon. I can't wait. This time next month, we will be in England.

Lynne, how exciting that you will be visiting your family overseas. How long since you have seen them in person?

I was there last year around the same time. In fact, I did most of Survivor last year on the road while I was traveling. The layouts I scrapped were about my trip, pretty much. I see them often on Facetime, but at least once a year in person. I am very close with my DIL, so she makes sure I get some time with little John. Hannah is a gem. My first layout for Survivor this year was her :)

Give this is the grandmother forum, let me tell you about the mothers of my grandchildren.

Hannah is John's mother. James and Hannah married in 2011. My grandson, John, is 2 and they have another one the way. He/She will be there by the time I go and visit. Hannah is due April 9th. She is the embodiment of a Proverbs 31 woman. She is a great cook, the perfect wife and partner for a pastor. In addition, she is so much FUN! She has a great sense of humour and I can talk to her for hours.

Vanessa is the mother of my grandchild on the way in California. She and Hannah could not be more different, but both wonderful and they get along really well. Nessa is a nurse (Nurse Nessa) and she is a funny, beautiful, geeky girl. She loves computer games, real life games (like D&D) is a Batman fanatic and I adore every inch of her. She and Steven are a perfect pair. They are looking at a Batman theme's nursery haha!

There are two other mother's of my grandson, Mark. He is 22 and has been on his own since he was 20 and his dad (my son) died. His biological mother, Cheree lives in Colorado and is not much a part of his life. His stepmother, Karen, has not been a part of his life since he was 10 and she and my son, David, divorced. I am very much in touch with Karen, who is the mother of my step-grandchildren, Ashley and Kayli. I don't see the girls any more, since they moved some years back, although we stay in touch on Facebook. Any time Karen is in town, we get together. She is a digital scrapper. I am working on getting her involved here.

I have a daughter, Karen and a DIL, Karen. They are really different :)
