Projects Progress

I'm about half way finished with our 2017 album so far. :36_1_33:
I have lots more to go, but it feels good to see the progress.

How is everyone else doing on their 2017 projects?

I am about four weeks behind on my Project 52, went on a small trip and just didn't pick it up again. Oops.

busy scrapping both my Disney trip and my cruise from 2011 & 2007

my biggest to do project this year was to get stuff printed. So far tally ..... zero. I need to print. But then I need page protesters and finding them is difficult.

I wont print again until my 2017 album is completed. I only print once a year usually, unless I do gifts for Christmas. Progress is progress, though. :D

I'm about a month behind on P2017, but I print as I go along since I print at home.

I really want to finish our big Philippines trip from last year. But life and memories keep happening, lol...
I've also printed out the pages I have completed so far. It's nice to look at, also inspires me to keep going..

Project??? What's that? LOL - I don't plan projects I just scrap what I feel like when I feel like it :) I have scrapped more than usual the past couple months though.

I JUST found an album to put my pages in, so I'm going to get some pages printed this week. FINALLY! Can you tell I'm excited? 2017 is turning out to be a slow scrapping year for me, but I don't care about being caught up, so it's ok. I've done 10 out of the 72 PL pages I want to do so far this year. But I'm much more motivated now that I have an album.

Em, what kind of printer do you have? Are you doing 12x12?

I actually finished a page today and printed it. I'm horribly slow and have a hard time juggling grandkids, gardening, quilting,& scrapping, besides being a really really slow scrapper. I print 12x12

I'm slowly making my way through my Newfoundland album. Need to get some more pages for it done this week. I'm no longer on the site creative team at another digital scrapbooking store, so I have some time to scrap just for my own pleasure again. I'm still on the CTs of some great designers here at GingerScraps, but fortunately their products go so well with the photos I need to scrap that I can fulfill my CT duties and get my personal pages done!

Still slowly working on a book for my mom, featuring photos of my sister and I growing up. As long as I have it done in time for Christmas I'm good. :) If I can have it done in time for her birthday (at the beginning of December), then that's a bonus!

HI Jen,

I print regular size 8.5x11. But I cut it down to 8x8. I was so bummed, I went to Michaels, but they were out of page protectors. I wanted to use my 50% off coupon, lol... hopefully I can find some next week. I want to start putting pages in the album and feel accomplished, lol.

I have an old Epson ink jet. I love it though!! I only buy Espon ink even though it's super expensive, but I've had it for over 4 years, so I think it's worth it.

I get 8.5x11 page protectors from Costco for super cheap and cut them down with my trimmer. they're about as thick as the scrapbook kind, and archival safe too. It's a slight pain to trim them and punch an extra hole, but sooo much cheaper.

OMG, that's a fantastic idea!! Top loading? Yeah, the ones from Mike's, you only get 10 pages...

Yep, top loading. This is what the box looks like (amazon) https://www.amazon.com/Avery-Loading-Protectors-Heavyweight-76006/dp/B003BCZQAS But they're cheaper at Costco, like $15 maybe?

I print 8x8 so my pages do slide around a little because of the extra half inch, but you could just print 8.5x8.5 since you print at home if that bothered you. I've been using them for about 3 years and they seem to hold up as well as the ones from Michael's. Depending on your album brand you'd probably need to punch an extra hole too.

I don't scrap chronologically although I print chronologically. So while not making much progress on 2017, I am wrapping up 2015 and half way through 2016. I have been doing a lot of pages on my project life app which is helping me knock out a lot of pages with mediocre photos (but still need to be scrapped).
