Program App Suggestions

Snapseed is pretty awesome. I am not great about scrapping on anything smaller than a laptop, but I have scrapped with Snapseed and it is pretty powerful. I think you will be able to do a lot with it, but it is definitely not photoshop!

I've tried and liked Pixelmator and Procreate. I've heard that some people like scrapping on Keynote. I use that to plan out my pages. The Project Life app is great if you like pocket scrapping. You can start your page in the PL app and pull it into another app that supports layers to add extra embellishments.

I would love to scrap on a tablet. But I'm curious, how do you open kits and papers and all that fun stuff? Maybe because I use my desktop and an external hard drive...I just don't see how. Would love to know.

You can use Procreate, and then you can add journaling using Over. There's a facebook group that you can check with tutorials on how you can scrap using apps.

You can save a kit on your dropbox or box account to access them.

I don’t want an app to edit photos. I want one where I can actually Scrapbook 12x12 layouts. Using papers, embellishments, etc.

I have used SnapSeed to create scrapbook pages. I don't use it to edit photos at all. In all fairness, though, I have not used it recently. I prefer to scrap on my laptop or desktop. I save SnapSeed for emergencies. I have a good friend who scraps full time using it.

I would love to do this but need to update my ipad or get something else that uses a tablet pen. I've been thinking about it and maybe sometime in the next yr or so. I do love scrapping on my PC but when I'm on the road or at our trailer it would be so much more portable. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread to see what others are saying.

You can use a program called Affinity Photo which is very, very similar to photoshop. They have iOS and windows versions. You can use cloud based apps to get your photos and scrapbook supplies into the program on your tablet. Some cloud based apps are: google drive, drop box, document by redde, iCloud Drive and I am sure there are more. It is not free. They do have sales and it is very affordable in my opinion. Black Friday may be a time they might have sales too. It even plays well with psd files so you can use templates in it. I don’t know how drop shadows work in it. I am sure you could create your own presets though. I have it on my Windows computer and it is very similar to photoshop!!

I’m not sure AffinityPhoto would work on a mini, but check it out.

I only scrap on my iPad Air. No pencil.

i use Affinity Photo,or Over App, and a few other apps. Affinity allows me to use templates (psd).

I use dropbox to store my kits, as my memory on my iPad is always clogged with layouts. In the group mentioned above App Scappers there is also App scrappers Affinity. Both extremely helpful. If you want to use the external hard drives you can with different attachments. I don’t, but there are posts about them.
