Profile Picture and getting around in the forum.

I joined a while back but haven't been active in the forum. I now want to participate and do not understand how the forum works. I can not figure out how to upload my profile picture. I also do not understand how to post your images for a challenge. There is an icon in the message box to post an image and it ask for the url. I do not understand how to get an url for your image. I did the signature challenge and need to post it after I have posted my profile picture.
 
Welcome to GingerScraps! I can definitely help you with all of this, and you've given me a new tutorial topic for the GingerScraps Blog too! I won't be able to get the tutorial out until next Tuesday. If you're okay with waiting, it'll all be right there, with screenshots to help you visually. Challenges don't have to be posted until the very end of the month, so you do have time. But if you're really anxious to get going, I can give you the basics here.

I am anxious but I can wait for a good tutorial on the forum. This seems like something that would be extremely helpful to me and other new members. It has been such a struggle trying to figure out how todo things in the forum if you have never done one. I am also on the older generation and old people do not catch onto new things like the younger generation. I made a siggy for the signature challenge and do not know how to use it. I do not know if I just insert the url (which so such a struggle how to figure that one out) at the end of my post or it goes in a special place. If I did it wrong that is a definite indication that this tutorial is very much needed. I am not even sure if I am replying the correct way. I find it to be very embarrassing to me when I do things wrong and I posted a thread for a challenge in the wrong place. Now I think it got posted twice because I did not see mine but I did not realize that there was more than one one page of post. I have not introduced myself because I do not have my profile picture because I do not know to do it. Thank you so much for doing this..

I've got the tutorial all ready to appear this evening, complete with screenshots. Once I have the blog post finished I'll come back and post the link here.
