I have been out of the loop for a few years and I was wondering how everyone prints their layouts. I usually do 8x8. I will need to get a new printer or is it best to send to shutterfly for example, to have them printed for me. I also need suggestions on an affordable printer that's good for layouts.

I personally do a combo of at home printing and getting my printing done with Persnickety Prints or Shutterfly.
I have a Canon printer, it does ok for at home printing. I just go into it knowing that whatever I print at home is going to fade pretty quickly. So if I want a good quality and long lasting print, I always have prints done professionally. Persnickety Prints is superb!
Shutterfly is not as good, but sometimes they do rope me in with really good coupons and sales, I have even gotten FREE photo-books printed in the past!
