Piracy and Plagiarism

I just learned that a favorite author of mine has been seriously plagiarized. It has made me reflect on the piracy that occurs in the digi scrap world. Good grief...

This author writes really nice clean romances and I appreciate the lack erotic filth that is permeating our reading material these days. I like to have clean novels on my book shelf that is appropriate for any age of interested reader. If anyone wants to help support this great author, please do so. Read a book, write a nice review and let's help stop this madness.

It is sad when that happens! I will check her out, I am always looking for a new author :)
 
A dear friend of mine (we went to high school together) is a wonderful author and she fights piracy every day. There are sites that steal her work and post it for free. This takes away from her income as she supplements her Dh's income too.

She writes fantasy and sci fi stuff, has a huge following as well but piracy just sucks.
 
That's so sad. What a hassle for her to deal with. Last school year, I was assisting an English teacher and she found that an essay by one of the kids was completely copied from a website. It was a shock to both of us.
 
i'll never understand how someone does this with a clear conscience....will check out this author, always looking for more to read.
