Photoshop Elements PLUS question

After reading a recent GS blog post, I discovered the elements + add-on and downloaded it! I have been playing all morning and searching everywhere, but I am having trouble. When I run scripts (lets say "torn edges") and I click on a layer (say a single photo), open the script box, hit run. It runs the script on the whole layout instead of just the one layer so the edges of the 12x12 layout look torn, but the photo layer is just the normal photo.
Does anyone know if these scripts can be done on just one layer in a layout??!?

I'm not sure if it can only run on one layer on a page.
Can you try opening just that paper and run the script on it, than make your layout and add it to the layout?

I have been thinking about getting elements+ I would love to know what people think of it I read some really bad reviews on another site so was a little concerned about getting it.

That is too bad. I was hoping that I could use the scripts on certain layers within a template. Humph.

I'll let you know more after I play with it some. Not being able to run scripts on specific layers is a major bummer but, honestly, the batch save in different sizes is probably going to be worth the $12 because I print my LOs, so I have to save in a different size for printing, then resize it, and save it again if I want to post here. This does those 3 steps in one click!

I did some playing with this little problem. I have a solution that isn't overly labour-intensive and will have a mini-tutorial for you tomorrow on the GS Blog.
