In my 11 edition I could use control G after dragging my photo to the template. That is not working for this edition HELP!!!:(

Have you tried Ctrl+Alt+G ? I have been doing a google search to see if I can find help for you and that is something that was mentioned.
Here is a quote from the web: You do have to hold down ctrl+alt, then press G while still holding those buttons down. You can also hold down your alt key and move your mouse over the line between the two layers in the panel to get a little arrow icon. Clicking then, while holding alt will apply the clipping, too.

I just had a play in my PSE 15 as I use my CS6 for all my layouts. The control+G definitely no longer works it makes it into a "group". What I shared above is correct and worked for me.... ctrl+alt+G

Help! I just purchased Photoshop Elements 2020 and can't figure anything out. The layers don't show up in the side bar. I can't add my effects. I can't find the eraser tool. Is anyone using this version of PSE? I have tried searching and everything comes up for older versions that look nothing like 2020.

Hi Connie,
I do not have your version I use Photoshop CC but sometimes things disappear. Have you tried from the menu at the top : Window> Work Space > Reset [mine is set to essential.
Another thing in that Window drop down is a long list - check to see if layers is checked. [mine keeps getting itself unchecked.]

One other spot is Edit>Preferences.

Best of luck.
m

ps- if still stuck, try calling Adobe.

I have PSE 2018 but unfortunately I can't open it right now because of an error message but if you click on either View or Window in the menu bar there will be a drop down menu with the different palettes/panel that are available - tick next to each of the palletes/panels you would like to have showing. Hopefully this helps until I can get my program to load.

thank you for the suggestions.

The eraser tool is in the Draw section of the toolbox. It is coupled along with the background eraser and the magic eraser.

I'm a PSE 2020 newbie. I created a layout and resized it to 600x600, but when I go to upload to the gallery it states it exceeds the size allowed. Maybe using PSE 2020 you resize to 600x600??? Help me please.
