Clipping masks are a MUST HAVE in my scrapbooking stash. They are excellent for giving photos an eye-catching appeal. They are also versatile because after making a copy of the mask (so you don't use the original) you can reshape the mask in so many ways. I tend to rotate, resize, add to it with a lower opacity brush, recolor with a Hue/Sat layer blend so that it matches the background color in my photo, invert to make it white and reshape with the transform tool.

Clipping masks are one the most useful tools in any scrapbooker's box.
