P52 question

Hey ladies!

I'm attempting to do P52 again this year..... I tried last year but didn't do very well. ;)

My question is about how you date your pages... I started week 1 with January 1-3 so that the week ends on Sunday and the new week starts on Monday... but I realized this morning that this will be a problem when the months overlap. I guess it's not a big deal, but I'll have to put both months in the title.

How do you date your pages, and why?

*PS... so far so good! Finished week 3 last night, so I'm up to date. Considering that I think I only did about 10 pages last year, I'm pretty impressed with myself! :)

It really does not matter how it is dated. I generally do a page a day but sometimes when not much happens in a few days I do several days together and sometimes it overlaps months and I just put November 30-December 2. It is your layouts and you should do them how you like them

Thank you Katherine... and you're right, of course! It's easy enough just to put the 2 months in the title. :) I am so impressed by your dedication to this project.... I don't see myself ever managing a page a day like you do!

Great job on keeping up so far!

I usually date mine how you're dating yours. I try to remember on weeks with the 1st of a month to put some kind of calendar in one of the pockets. Like this. (I get the "European" dates because my weeks start on Monday) I don't always remember though. For adding the dates, depending on how much room I have, I abbreviate the month names to save space. I think some people will start a new month on a new page too, so if it really bothers you, you can always try that. I'm thinking of not using week numbers at all this year, just dates.

I always like to start with a Monday and end with Sunday. I like to keep my weekends together just in case we go out of town the pictures could be together. I was super excited to get 2015 completely done!! I also printed out the pages this weekend and stuck them in an album, I'm very happy with it even if the pages don't match, at least our year was recorded. And if don't have pictures or if I don't remember what I did on specific days it was okay. I let go of a lot of pressure and just got it done. :)

Just do what works for you - I know that doesn't answer the question, but just try it a few ways, or if the first way you did it works, just keep it up! :D

Yay for finishing and getting your pages printed! Are you mixing in your regular LO's, or doing them separately?

That's AWESOME Em! Seeing your pages each week has definitely been an inspiration to me. :)

Jen, the album only contains P52 pages. I always go from event to event, never complete anything, lol. I always wish I finish at least trips or special events so I can put them in albums, but that never happens, lol.

Just create your year " how " it works for you! There is no wrong way! It's your book after all. The only thing is photo dates ...for the challenges .

some pages may have 1 photo, 2 photos etc....

I did week 1 and then when I was planning week 2 I realized that my weeks were off because the "week" didn't start on Sunday! LOL! I was going to go back & re-do it, but I think I'm just going to move forward!

I had planned on (and started) doing Sunday to Saturday, but I like the idea of having the weekend together, so maybe I'll switch to Monday to Sunday.

This is giving my "must be exact" brain spasms!! :36_6_1: LOL!

I tried to do a Mon-Sun or Sun-Sat go, and ugh, nope, can't do.
Though I'm doing 2-pagers.

Page A has Fri-Sun and Page B has Mon-Thurs. Works for me :D

I put the date on Page A and I don't put Week numbers on it (it gets number when I upload it and numbered save-wise, but otherwise, no week nos)

I don't even pay attention to the days. I just go by dates! Week 1: 1st-7th. Week 2: 8th-15th....

I don't think I even pay attention to the weeks. It's just the dates! I guess it would be more like Page 1: Title, Page 2: Misc Photos, Pages 3-4: 1st-7th, Pages 5-6: 8th-15.... haha

It was so much easier doing it this way then tracking the weeks and days like I did for the first year or two I did this! :)

I was able to get most of the layouts in the album, just need a couple more page protectors. So excited it's done!

I've been waiting {not so patiently!} since Monday to see this! It is fantastic! What an accomplishment, Em!
