Other hobbies?

Anyone else have other Hobbies than Scrapbooking? I LOVE to make layouts and showcase my photos and the designers who make the kits, but what do you all do when you are not scrapbooking?

We have baby chickens that we recently got so I'm learning about chickens but I enjoy baking and photography too!

I love books (though I wish I had more time to read), gardening, taking pics of my kids and cooking and baking :)

When I was younger and had more time and money, lol, I dabbled in different crafts...
I loved floral arranging until our house and our family and friend's homes looks like gardens.
I reupholstered our couches and other random furniture.
I also made small furniture, just simple things like a table or small chair.

I guess I like to figure out how to upcycle, Old clothes into random bags or rip up the fabric for bracelets and such. Bottles and cans into vases or containers, etc....

My other creative hobby is crocheting.

Otherwise, I'm a fitness buff. :) I love running, despite being super-slow, but I do have tons of endurance! I've completed over a dozen half-marathons and three full marathons. The half is my favourite distance because it requires actual training, but doesn't consume your life the way a marathon does when you are as slow as I am! I also enjoy triathlons, although I've only managed to do two sprint triathlons so far.

I love teaching group fitness classes as well. Step, stability ball, group cycle (i.e. spin), aquafit, and Zumba! I even love teaching high-low classes, although those seem to have fallen out of favour. Teaching Zumba lets me get in some of that old high-low flavour for some songs though!

I'm also a HUGE reader and reading is part of my daily routine - it's how I unwind before going to bed. I particularly enjoy fantasy and historical fiction novels, although I also enjoy some science fiction and "regular" fiction, as well as graphic novels and comic books.

I also work full-time, and while it's not a hobby per se, I love what I do. I work as a community dietitian (I'm a registered dietitian with a master's degree in public health) and it is so rewarding! I get to teach cooking classes and eat the food we've prepared as part of my job - what could be better?

I love reading, I read every night before I go to sleep, I finish one book and immediately start another. One of my "me time" things to do that I love is finding a little coffee shop with an inconspicuous corner where I can have a coffee and read my book in perfect bliss. I read mostly fiction.... adventure, mystery, historical, light sci fi (Day of the Triffids is one of my favs), and particularly dystopian type fiction (ie survival of the human race after some apocalypse), but not necessarily dystopian, I also like pioneering type books which are also about human survival under extreme conditions. I do some crocheting or knitting in our winter and enjoy that but it is too hot here for me to be doing it during our summers. I also do linedancing classes two or three times a week and have been doing so for over 20 years now. The enthusiasm is not as high but all my friends are there and it is exercise I would not otherwise get. I like the music (we dance to all genres now, not just country music), the socialising and the exercise. It gets me out of the house and off the computer for a while:) . My latest hobby is acrylic flow painting...so much fun. No art skills necessary, just choose colours, pour, tilt and come back later to see the result....very freeing:D

We have local grandchildren and although they are teenagers now, we still follow them around to watch their various activities. We meet up with the 19 year old in her lunch breaks and share lunch with her quite often...not really a hobby but something we love to do.

I just started using the Project Life App so I am really using all my free time to scrap the more monotonous day to day photos. I have been traveling a LOT lately and we have two more really big trips coming up in the next six weeks (Hong Kong and Belize) so I will have a bazillion photos to scrap.

I love reading but lately my brain just feels so tired and I fall into bed really early. I have been substitute teaching nearly every day and it is just exhausting. Full time teachers are my heroes! I could never do it every single day. Instead of cracking a book every night like I used to, I really just turn on Netflix and watch some Grey's Anatomy before I crash every night.

I do love to crochet too!

Besides my grandchildren. my other passion is quilting. Right now I'm working on a Bali Wedding Star.

I have lots of hobbies - I quilt and sew and always have a project going on (or 2!), especially during the winter months. I love to garden once winter is done and I have vegetable gardens, an herb garden, and flower gardens. I love to travel/explore and hike throughout or state and New England from April through October. I also love to flea market and upcycle/refurbish flea market items for decor and to sell. I've always been an avid reader.

Something I started doing just a little over a year ago is volunteering with the Share Our Strength/No Kid Hungry program here in our city as a Cooking Matters volunteer. I meet with disadvantaged families to teach them how to shop for and cook healthy meals instead of eating junk. I love, love, love this program and I love working with the families - it is still amazing to me how many people have never eaten a piece of fruit other than an apple or have never eaten vegetables of any kind and very rewarding to see kids and their parents enlightened and excited to learn healthier habits.
