Non Gallery Individual Challenge Accountability

Is there anyway to have some type of challenge or thread ongoing in the everday chatter? That if someone wanted to at the beginning of each month list 'their individual scrapbooking challenge' and get encouragement and ACCOUNTABILITY and at the end of the month respond with how you have done.
I say non gallery (unless someone wants to post pages in the gallery) because I personally find I scrap differently when doing for challenges...by photos I use and what journaling I do or do not do.
I say individual because not everyone wants/needs the same challenge. My challenge would be to choose the topic of an album and make 6 pages that flow together. Someone else might want a challenge to finish a particular album, or get all the photos and digi supplies chosen for a particular project.
I say accountability because for me that is a motivator. In April in the Inspiration Challenge with Memory Mosaic I made a page and listed some goals for my scrapbooking. I went back and looked at the page and haven't done anything with the goals.
If I had used all the hours I've spent on challenges, browsing through the gallery, buying 'deals', downloading and organizing 'deals," reading through the forum, I could probably have a 100 page album done.
I'm rambling.

Debra, this sounds good. I tried starting a motivators group which would have covered what you are sharing but it did not work out well with only a couple of people taking part.

A-M I need to laugh, I did a search for 'motivation' and found the thread you had started. I was one of those that stated my goal and didn't make it past the first week hehe. If there is any interest shown maybe I'll start a thread in January for setting 'monthly goals' ( i would never be able to do weekly goals) for scrapbooking and see what happens.

Debra, I just had a look back after doing a search in the forum - "motivator" and I now know why I did not keep it up. It was not lack of participation..... My last post there was in February...... on the 28th of February 2022 our home was flooded - we had to evacuate and stayed in the evacuation centre for nearly a week before the waters went down enough for us to clean out our home when I lost lots of things.... photos, clothing, hundreds of dollars worth of fabrics etc. We ended up selling our house as unliveable and bought a one bedroom unit in a small retirement village in a small town in another state.

You have motivated me to restart that group with me being on the Sugar Cookie team. So I hope you will join me... .I will put it in the Healthy section again as it will get lost in the Chatting thread section.

Anne-Marie, let us know if you start that thread back up again. Over the weekend, I made a list of layouts I still wanted to complete for 2023, and wow... the list was Loooooonnnnggg! So I need as much motivation as I can get! :)

DebraB... good question. I didn't count, but I'd say it's around 75-100 pages. :shock

My goal is to print TWO books through Shutterfly. My annual book of my favorite layouts of the year, and then a separate book for the vacation. Wish me luck! LOL!!!

Anne-Marie, feel free to remind people in the Waffling thread from time to time. It looks as though quite a few people signed up :)
