Hi All,

I am from sunny South Africa... I've been paper scrapping since 2003 but am now dabbling my feet in digi scrapping due to a lack of bookshelf space! Hoping I can find some lovely freebies to start playing with and find my way around.

Hi Cathy, welcome to GingerScraps... I think you will love it here, in the welcome wagon you can pickup some freebies to get you started, and there are also some freebies in the shop. And if you sign up for some of the newsletters from our wonderful designers you can pickup freebies. They have a lot of challenges here and you can win free kits for doing those, they also have a daily download on the blog page where you end up with a beautiful kit at the end of each month. Welcome Cathy! The transition from paper to digiscrapping may be a frustrating (trying to learn) but yet so rewarding (mastering a new technique) Wishing you the best of luck. I tried paper scrapping- so stressful. I found a reference to digital scrapbooking in a magazine and have never looked backed. I love the undo button. Aside from the designer gifts in the Welcome Wagon area, Gingerscraps has $2 Tuesdays where certain kits are available for $2.00. Then- - - my favorite time of the month - The Gingerscrap Bake Sale where select kits are available for $1.00!. These are excellent and affordable ways to build up your scrapping stash.
 
HI Cathy, welcome to Gingerscraps! I was the exact say, I was a longtime paper scrapper, but due to lack of time and space, I tried digi...and I LOVE it! It's so easy, portable, and clean, lol. Although now I have to buy more hard drives, but cheaper than remodeling the house to add a library, haha! Can't wait to see your creations! xoxo...♥
 
Hi Cathy! Welcome to Gingerscraps, I started as a paper scrapper too, but the albums ang pages are taking up a lot of spaces in my hose, but when I started digiscrap the only thing my pages are taking up is my hard drive. Don't forget to join us in the challenges, I can't wait to see your creations!

I'm in Jhb Meryl. Still just dabbling in digi but hoping to get my feet very wet soon. I've done one photobook last year and intend to do another one in a few months so am looking for lots of tips and ideas.

I too am originally from South Africa but have lived in Australia for just over 25 years. Haven't been back to SA in 24 years and don't even think I would recognise it ;).
