Hi everyone! I have been playing with the forum and gallery a bit more. Did you notice the you can post an update on your personal profile? Think of it like your Facebook page just for our scrapping community!

Profile Posting in XenForo: Your Personal Social Space!​

Did you know that XenForo includes a built-in feature that’s kind of like your own mini social media wall? It’s called Profile Posts, and it’s a fun, easy way to share updates, thoughts, inspiration, or even just a friendly hello with the community. I can't wait to see all your profile posts!!

Here’s everything you need to know to get started:

💬 What Is a Profile Post?​

A profile post is a short message or update that you can post directly on your own profile or on another member’s profile. Think of it like a Facebook status update or a message on someone’s wall.

Profile posts are visible to all other members and can be a great way to:
  • Share your scrapping inspiration
  • Post about life updates
  • Leave a friendly message for another member
  • Celebrate accomplishments like finishing a challenge or trying a new technique

📝 How to Make a Profile Post​

  1. Go to your profile by clicking your username at the top of the page.
  2. Scroll to the “Profile Posts” section.
  3. Click in the “Update your status…” field.
  4. Type your message, add photos, tag friends, include emojis.
  5. Click Post—and you’re done!
You can also go to another member’s profile and leave a post there.
REMEMBER: If you post on someone "wall" every forum member can see it. If you want to send a private message, be sure to DM (direct message) them.

How to Watch the Video:
Sorry the volume is low, turn up those speakers! I think I need to get an external microphone.
  • Click on the video to start playing it.
  • You can watch it right here on the site, or click the YouTube logo on the video to open and watch it directly on YouTube.
  • Want to see it bigger? Once the video is playing, hover your mouse over it and look for the full screen icon (usually in the bottom-right corner). Click that to make the video fill your screen.
  • To exit full screen mode, just press the "Esc" (Escape) key on your keyboard.

I totally forgot that I'd done that! It would be so fun for members to start using it!
 
@GingerScraps this is just WONDERFUL! What fun. Thanks for the video tut! I love that we can follow and the new newsfeed.
I really like that our notifications are in a dropdown and doesn't have to go to another page. Can't wait to start following all of my Waffling friends!

Jak sledovat video:
  • Kliknutím na video spustíte přehrávání.
  • Můžete jej sledovat přímo zde na webu nebo kliknutím na logo YouTube na videu jej otevřít a sledovat přímo na YouTube.
  • Chcete to vidět ve větším? Jakmile se video přehraje, najeďte na něj myší a vyhledejte ikonu celé obrazovky (obvykle v pravém dolním rohu). Klikněte na to, aby video vyplnilo vaši obrazovku.
  • Chcete-li ukončit režim celé obrazovky, stačí stisknout klávesu "Esc" (Escape) na klávesnici.

I just did a google translate to see your post says, "Unfortunately, I don't understand English, so the video tutorial is useless to me!"

I can work on putting together a tutorial with screenshots rather than a video. Hopefully that will help :)
