New PC Recommendations?

My computer seems slower and slower and it's so hard to scrap or load a website. It's about 6 years old. When looking for a new desktop PC what do you recommend? Only for scrapping, web surfing and work documents. TIA.

Last year I had to upgrade for the same reasons as you. I ended up at Best Buy and got a gaming HP tower. I love it. Has tons of RAM and a decent HD but I run most of my scrapping stuff off the externals. I can run PSE, 10-15+ tabs open in chrome and have netflix playing without issue.
Good luck!

Thanks Heidi, you have a setp up like mine. I scrap from my EHD.

My Son has the gaming HP tower...or it may be an ASUS....He's a mechanical engineer and needed all the memory too. He also bought the ASUS laptop and loves it. I have a ASUS laptop and I love mine.

I love my Asus laptop, it's a gaming laptop...don't game, just want the power...connected to a 27 inch Samsung monitor...

We got a darn decent pair of towers at Sam's for my kids!
My daughter needed something that did some minor gaming (Sims, Minecraft, such), art-related (music, digital painting, digital artwork, video editing).
My son needed one that let him play games (Neverwinter MMO, Minecraft, etc).

We ended up with this from Sam's. We got it on sale for $750, but it's SO worth it! Great graphics card (and ability to upgrade), upgradeable RAM BUT with a good amount already. Decent HD size (we have access to Google Drive and OneDrive as a family, so that's not a huge requirement).

Our biggest selling point was Bluetooth and WiFi. And 9 USB ports. ;)

We did have to buy a new monitor for my daughter, but that was expected. She was going from a laptop to a tower.

I have a gaming computer as well. It's got enough "oomph" to run PSCC and a few other things that take up memory and hard drive space.

I would love to see you game Jeanne

If you did you would do this :36_1_19::36_1_19::36_1_19::36_1_19::36_1_19::36_1_19:

We got an XBoxOne a few years back....my grandson begs me to play with him so I do.....proof that he loves me is that he is 9, I am TERRIBLE, but he still wants me to play with him. Use it mainly for the BluRay and Netflix
