New Computer Desktop Suggestions

My family is in need of a new computer. Anyone have any suggestions. We currently have a DELL that's over 5 years old and it's showing it's age. I've always heard to get more memory than harddrive???

Has anyone bought refurbished to save money?

Good luck Jennifer. I don't have any words of wisdom except more RAM the better. I just got my son a laptop for school and it was 16 gigs I think??? More than my 4 gigs that I thought was a ton back 5 years ago when I got my laptop. I only did that because I will inherit his laptop in a year when he is out of school.

I just bought a new DELL. Don't have it yet but it has 12GB DDR4 and my computer techi son says it's a good one. I can't wait to get it in a few weeks. I use 2 external hard drives for my photos and scrapbook kts so the computer stays cleaner.
