I'm heading out shortly to the first meeting of a challenge group that I signed up for at a local gym. It seemed like too good a deal to pass up.... $112 for 8 group training sessions, a month's membership and nutrition support, plus programs that you can do on your own when not at the gym. It was targeted for women 25-55 who have 15-30 pounds to lose. Well.... I am on the high side of the age (50) and I have about 70 pounds to lose.... so I'm afraid that I am going to be the oldest and heaviest person there, and that takes me WAY out of my comfort zone. This is not at my regular gym... so I won't know anyone there either. (Which, come to think of it, could be a good thing!) LOL! I know that this is what I need to kickstart my weight loss, but my stomach is churning right now. I've lost about 12 pounds since June, mostly by doing cardio. I know that the weight lifting is what I need to do. Hopefully this will give me the incentive to keep going in the right direction. Keep your fingers crossed for me please....
