Need help from someone who uses MyMemories software

Need Help from someone who uses MyMemories software AND has used any of Dear Friends: States Bundle (or the individual kit).
I bought the Minnesota kit and can't get it to work. One of the parts of the kit has what I would call your text box merged/included into the state shape so you should be able to click on it and replace the text with what you want to type. I have been able to download the font into MM, but can't click on it to replace the sample text. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or just a matter that it won't work with MM. Hi @DebraB . As we've discussed in messaging, I use MyMemories software as well. I have never been able to get text boxes in templates or type paths to work in MyMem. If you make any progress on this, I would be VERY curious as to method. Unfortunately, I don't have the particular kit you are working with, so I don't have anything specific to add. Using MyMem text tools, I have clipped text to shapes and wavy lines on occasion (then I usually put the opacity of the line/shape to zero), but I have found it glitchy and I make sure it is the very last thing I put on the layout.

This is what I posted in the comments, in the comments under the layout.
"I use My Memories so it was a bit difficult until @Grace helped with the program. I had to convert the png file (of the state image) to an svg file. Attached the picture I wanted/or paper. 2nd I uploaded the svg file a 2nd time, made the opacity to 1. Then I inserted a text box, wrote what I wanted to say. Then clicked on the text box, then hold down shift key and click on svg file that has 1 opacity. choose the "ATTACH TEXT TO SHAPE". Since there is very little opacity you then move it over the original picture of the state.
This is a quick overview...I am going to write a clearer tutorial and get it posted when I have time...may be a week. If you try it before I get something done the one thing I did find is that I had to resize the svg to a smaller size (I think down to 800 x 800?) BEFORE I converted it to a png.

I was wondering if any of you have had problems with transparency on PNG imports for My Memories software? I purchased a June Buffet kit from GingerScraps earlier this month, and when I went to use it today, around half of the PNG files had solid black boxes in the transparency area. Weirdly some from the same zipped folder were fine, while others were not. I downloaded new zip folders today, thinking the files got corrupted somehow while downloading, but I experienced the same issue with the exact same files. I also restarted the software and it made no difference. I've only had this happen one other time in hundreds of kit downloads, and we were never able to figure it out. Have any of you experienced this or have a solution? Could it be a problem in the original transparency save?

@Celestine I have had this happen to me before 3-4 years ago. It may very well be with how the designer did the 'original save." Which kit and who is the designer?

Since the issue is only happening with a few of the PNGs and not others, and they appear as solid black boxes in My Memories software, it’s likely due to how that particular program is interpreting transparency in some of the files. Occasionally, certain programs (including My Memories Suite) can struggle with PNGs that use more complex alpha channel transparency settings.

Here are a few possible workarounds you can try:

1. Check for software updates – Make sure you’re using the latest version of My Memories Suite, as they sometimes fix transparency display bugs in updates.
2. Try importing the PNGs in a different way – Instead of dragging and dropping, use the “Add Photo/Embellishment” feature within the software, which may better preserve transparency.
3. Open and re-save the PNGs – If you’re comfortable using a program like Photoshop, Affinity Photo, or even a free tool like Photopea (online at photopea.com), you can open the affected PNG and simply re-save it. This can sometimes “reset” the transparency so it displays correctly in My Memories.

Ive had that happen too, not here, and I don't use MM, I use Scrapbook Max, (i believe they are similar) I agree it is a designer flaw in the original save, some setting is not right. Has only happened a couple of times to me too over the years.
