May 10th RQOTD What's something everyone does that you just cannot do?

For the life of me cannot take a selfie. I am a selfie failure. My husband is a pro at this. Even before the age of smart phones, he could flip our little olympus point and shoot around with ease and just snap away. I credit his super long monkey arms. I am sure if I practiced I could acquire this much needed skill (it would be nice to have some photos of me in my layouts) but I just am not that vested.

So what is something everyone seems to do but you just can't get the hang of it?

I can't parallel Park. Luckily for me they didn't put that on my drivers test. I will pay $20 at a parking lot before I would ever even try to attempt this parallel parking thing. I am really good at backing out of the driveway and hitting my trash cans though ;)

GREAT THREAD!

LOL LOL LOL LOL - Kim - what a talent ;) how do your trash cans look? a little dented?!

I have always been good at flipping the camera and catching a good shot - I've been doing it forever! People always would ask "want me to take that" or "no way you're going to get it" - always did ;) must be my mad shooting skills ;)

I also oddly enjoy parallel parking - and I drive a pretty big sized SUV - so kinda funny! Always enjoyed it in a weird sort of way!

Hmm - something I cant do that everyone else seems to...

Eat w/o spilling something? Walk up the steps all day w/o tripping up them? hahaha - not sure - i'll have to think more ;)

DRIVE!!!! I can drive a lawnmower, a motorbike, a boat or even a bobcat, but for the life of me, I get behind the wheel of a car and I just get so anxious, I'm a mess!!!!

I've had my beginner's (learning permit in the US) THREE times and I still can't bring myself to take the test. I'm such a loser lol.

I think I get too panicked because I was in a bad crash as a teen with some friends. None of us were hurt, but it scared me and it wasn't our fault, we were cut off.

Well, Trina & Kim have taken mine! I can drive and I can take selfies fairly well...

I can't walk in a straight line! God-forbid that I get pulled over and have to do that DUI test (I don't drink, btw!) where you walk in a straight line! LOL! Or where you close your eyes, tilt your head up and touch your nose...I'd fall flat on my face! :DWhen I got married, my mom walked me down the aisle. My mom & I were weaving up the aisle and laughing! I guess it's hereditary!

I wonder if you can take an extreme driver course before having a driver license - maybe it would calm you if you already knew how to handles skids and such.

I cant whistle either .... Hate driving but get motion sickness so have to drive myself around lol.
I can parallel park but rarely do same with reverse parking. I avoid both as it stresses me out.
I cant do anything related to heights or lots of motion which when you think about it is pretty limiting.
No adventure sports for me!!

I used to love roller coasters and spinning rides.....but not anymore. I can't stomach them. I think it's an age thing..it happened right after I had Adam.

Now with my inner ear issues, there is NO WAY I would even try...like Tammy, somedays I can't even walk straight! LOL

I cannot take a selfie either!!!! I feel like I am the only idiot who cannot point a camera at myself and shoot without a finger in the way, or looking at the button instead of at the screen. I am a dork. I also can't do yoga. Maybe someday!

Sew a button on a shirt or sew at all...

Parking is a challenge esp backing or parallel....my depth perception is off or something. I even have a back up camera and can't do it! LOL

Heights...don't even get me started on those. I can't even walk in a mall on the second floor with out getting weak knees. I think it came from my mom popping our legs as kids when we would lean over the rail and look down as kids. Now I am petrified of even walking near them. You will see me rubbing the wall far from any railing.
We visited the Wilderness Lodge at Disney World and I thought I would die when my kids ran around the upper floors. There was a bridge that crossed over the lobby...UGH! Oh and don't get me started on Double Tree Inns. We stayed in one in the Dallas area that had a bridge like walkway to get to our room from the bay of elevators with GLASS walls that looked down 10 floors...on both sides of me. I had to practically crawl to our room and it was the only way down unless I took the stairs. LOL

I can't snap my fingers. Don't know why. I've just never been able to get that snapping sound! I can whistle though. :)

I really can't whistle either. It has taken me decades to get to where I can at least blow out and make a kettle sound.
I can parallel park badly (but it gets done after much back and forthing) and I can take an ok selfie (by no means great at it), I can snap and walk a line.

I can't find my way. I am absolutely horrible with directions. Even places that I have been to multiple times, I have to re-map and track my way. I even manage to get lost with the GPS in my car!! Before the GPS?? I don't know how I got anywhere.

I also can't roll my tongue. You know how everyone can make their tongue roll over a cherry, my mom can even tie the stem in a knot. They can flip it around. Mine is just a fat sausage in my mouth that won't do anything.

This will probably sound really silly but I can't for the life of me make "homemade" biscuits. I have tried and tried but we have to use Grands. LOL
