Is there such thing as too many?

What on earth is wrong with me?

My son had a private with an awesome hour long private lesson with an awesome coach. In that hour I took 426 pictures.
:shock
I did watch a lot of it too so I wasn't just taking pictures.

Is there such thing as too many pictures?

Been there, done that, I'd say no hehe When i was shooting our friends daughters basketball games it would be 500-600 every game

I'd of taken more (I took about 800 on Monday at the High School Tennis Clinic) but I was so fasinated with this new coach's teaching technique. He so appealed to my son's nerd side and used science to explain things to him. I loved it.

We went through some caverns last month. Half hour. 400-something pictures.
My P&S has a burst setting, though, where I can just hold down the button and move the camera. It was the ONLY way I could get some of the shots I was getting.

With the sports-action setting on my camera, it takes a lot of photos in quick succession. I always go through them and immediately delete the blurry and not-so-great photos once I've downloaded them onto my computer. Otherwise they just take up space and I'll never actually use them!

Yeahhhhhhhhh, I've taken that many during basketball games and soccer games and swim meets and track meets and softball games, and football games and baseball games....... see the theme here? :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Ok, I do see the theme. You like sports. I'm lucky my "jock" is only into Tennis as a sport. But he has Sea Scouts, Boy Scouts, Order of the Arrow, Sailing lessons, Science Club, and NHS.

When I go to the races I take way more than 500. When we went to a Saturday night race at our local race track I took about 2,000. On a NASCAR weekend, I can take about 10,000 and have every year. Now I will admit a few hundred of them aren't any good cause I moved or the car was out of the shot. But I am known as the queen of the shutter.

Mine has that setting too but I don't use it because it never fails, I get before the ball hits and after the ball hits. Never the one with the ball at the racket. I take single shot photos.

I can so relate to you all. I'm a soccer mom and a Nana to 4 grands. Yes, I can take a 100 pictures of my little grandson trying to get one picture of his new tooth popping through the gums. Or 100 of him eating spaghetti noodles. And I take at least 1,000 pictures at soccer tournaments. It is an obsession. I think I need help, or at least a new camera. Hahaha.

I am drooling over a new camera too. I want a Rebel T6. I'm thinking I am going to ask for it for Christmas.

If I don't use the burst setting I tend to miss all the actions shots I want! So for me it is a wonderful feature! I just need to go through and delete all the ones I don't need as soon as I download them.

I can take that many and more at games or just out watching birds in the yard. I do delete at least half to 2/3 of photos as I don't need that many. I just keep the ones I think are good.
