Is December flying by for you too?

This month has flown by and it makes me sad because December is my favorite month of the year! I love the songs, the sounds, the lights... all of it! DON'T GO DECEMBER!!!

It does! Maybe because I've been super busy this month planning different events within our family and our Church, but it's crazy. I went to change the countdown yesterday and was like 6 days until Christmas?! It was just the 6th of the month!!!

It is flying, but I am enjoying every minute of it. Last Christmas, we were sick for the whole month and didn't get to do anything. It was like the Christmas that never was. This year, we have had such fun! Cookie Exchanges, holiday parties, decorating, and more!

This whole YEAR flew by for me!! We moved into our current home on Dec 6th 2013 and it sure doesn't feel like we've been here a whole year already!

It feels like it was just back to school yesterday and here we are already at Christmas!!! I just can't believe how fast time is flying by and it also makes me sad. My daughter will be 6 in Jan and I am gobsmacked by that!! Seems like yesterday she was brought to me and put in my arms at 5 months old...she was so tiny and so sweet and the time has flown by! My son will be 14 in May and that just blows my mind.

Sigh....and the older I get, the faster it goes.

It is funny because I can remember thinking in September...aww...I got time to do ...blank.... and now... wait...it's December? My friend told me last week that it goes by faster as you get older. I am trying to enjoy every minute of it. I don't have kids, but I do hear from my friends that do that it goes by so fast!

It went by way too fast for me :(
I was just thinking yesterday how much I love the Christmas tree, it just makes me happy. I don't want to take it down in a week. Booooo

So leave it up Ginger! ;)

I leave mine up until January 6th (sometimes later!)

And YES to answer your question, I can NOT believe its the 30th!! Eek - where has 2014 gone?!? I blame 6+ months of back pain, followed by surgery to pretty much make my year a blur!!! Hoping 2015 is a little less eventful ;)

We are taking our tree down tomorrow... it makes me sad. I love it! But, I guess Christmas in July doesn't sound so appealing. Oh well.

@Trina... I hope 2015 is much smoother for you!

Shhhh my tree is still up :) I guess this weekend I will have to take it down.
I just deleted all my saved christmas movies from my DVR.
I wouldn't mind if we had 2 Christmas celebrations every year ;) lol, I know I'm crazy!

Haha, Ginger! Mine are still up too! We have two Christmas trees - one on each floor. lol

The kids and I like having them up! :)

My daughter even named them. The real tree that we cut down she named Crispy. The fake tree is Sparkles. LOL

All my stuff is still up, but today might be the day to take it down...we'll see what else I get accomplished!

My stuff is still up….

We are having company on Saturday for lunch. I'm wondering if I should have it taken down before then? HA

You guys are so funny! Turns out our tree is still up until we get back. At my house the rule is whoever pust up the other one takes it down. But I would leave it up all year.

We finally got the tree down today! I can't say I approved of my husband's methods, but he did most of it so I don't want to complain. He unfortunately used the leaf blower (on vacuum setting) to suck up the mounds of evergreen needles and now it's like the whole house is drowning in evergreen scent!

I didn't even know that the leaf blower had a backward setting. I can't even imagine how loud that would be in a house to use. My husband has all of it stacked up in the middle of the house. I guess he is going to get to it someday.

We got our down on Saturday, but by Saturday I was not feeling well...so glad it got done then!!

Annnnnd I still have both my trees up….

My husband asked if we could maybe take them down this weekend. hahaha

We still have the majority of our Christmas lights up outside. The weather hasn't made it possible for my hubby to safely climb on the roof to take the lights down....maybe this weekend!
