I'm so thankful!

So I signed up for the Tri for a Cure here in Maine... and all women's sprint triathlon that supports cancer research and treatment. It's a lottery drawing because it's such a popular event, and I was one of the lucky ones to get in. My fundraising goal is $1500, which not only would be awesome because it supports a great cause, but also because if I reach it, I wouldn't have to be in the lottery next year... I'd have an automatic entry (that's assuming that I am crazy enough to do it again lol!)

Anyway, my fundraising has been going well, and I already passed the required amount of $500, but today was a VERY GOOD DAY. I received a donation from my sister, posted a thank you on fb, and ended up with a total of $500 in donations TODAY. I am so excited and thankful!

A little less than 3 months to go, and I'm at 73% of my goal. I'll definitely get there! Woot!
 
Congrats on your goal progress.
I want to say thank you for doing this. In my family it isn't a matter of if you get Cancer it's a matter of when. Just about every one in the family has had it. My two older sisters (44 and 50) have both had it already. I hope you do well on the actually event.

Thank you Cristy, and you're welcome. Cancer is prevalent in my family too, and I've had several friends with it as well. It sucks.
