my big boy is offically adult .... (means is 18 here in Germany).... Feeling a bit old and sad....
 
Awww, don't feel old!! Feel free....lol. Means he's leaving the nest soon. Happy Birthday to the big boy.
 
LOL.... he right now lives with his dad and not with me.... so he has left our nest... and my little one is still here:-) Thanks I will it show to him when he comes to me at the weekend :-)
 
Happy Birthday to your son! I can understand how you must feel--I guess all parents do. We want our kids to grow up and have lives of their own; but letting go is tough. Maybe you should treat yourself to something today since you have dedicated your life to raising your son like we all do; it's an accomplishment to say you have an 18 year old--right?!

I totally understand how you feel...when my daughter turned 18, it was a bit of a shock to my system! It took a little while to get used to. Hang in there and like others have said, enjoy the milestone! :)
 
Don't feel old, but focus on the memories that you've created and focus on him becoming a man who will venture out in the world on his own two feet. It's a major accomplishment on both of you!! Happy birthday to your son!! <3 hugs to you!! <3
 
Mine will be 18 next month, too, it does make you feel old! They just grow up too fast! *sigh*
 
My second child, turns 18 (an adult in the U.S. too) in 3 weeks. However he is still in high school for another year so I am not really FREE yet. My oldest is 20...I was married at her age NOW that makes me feel old.
