After a few years break, I'm back digi scrapping. Boy did I miss it and boy did I forget a LOT. I've been back scrapping for 2 months now and found my way back to GS. I have a new name now since it feels as if I'm starting all over again (I had the user name Ohana before).

A little catch up about me. I'm a wife, mom, home childcare provider and big Disney fan, although my hubby loves Disney he is an even bigger Star Wars fan. We have 3 girls (lucky dad) who you will see in 95% of my layouts. Azure-lee our oldest and she'll be 10 the end of July (eek). Jessalyn is 7yrs and she is our middle daughter. She is a firecracker with a huge heart for all animals. Brielle is our youngest and she just celebrated her 1st birthday on May 5th.

I can't wait to catch up with everyone, and jump into some awesome challenges and chats.
See you in the forums!

:bliss:

Welsome back. I am a huge Disney fan also. So glad you have picked up scrapping again - it makes memories a little extra wonderful, I think.

Hi there! I'm new here, so I didn't know you before, but welcome back! Speaking of Disney, I'm taking my kids for their very first trip to Disneyland...I'm so excited!

Welcome back Michelle! Jump in and have fun with us. I remember you from before.

Yeah Michelle! My "GS evangelism" worked, LOL. So happy to see you back!

I took about a 7 year break from digi-scrapping and was kind of dreading having to relearn everything about forum/gallery navigation and also my photo editing program. I was surprised by how quickly a lot of the skills/knowledge came back. Welcome to Gingerscraps. I am sure you will enjoy it here. It is wonderful to have a new Digi-home again as my former "Home" closed down. Looking forward to seeing your layouts.

Congratulations on completing the challenges! You should receive a PM for the challenge reward around-ish the 5th of the new month.

Welcome!!! I am also sorta new here, new to the forum but not new to the store and gallery.

We are very similar!! I also LOVE Disney, do child care from home, have 3 daughters (they are now 19, 17, 15 and we have a boy too, he is 13 - will be 14 in 3 days!!!)

No boy here (well other than the hubby, haha)
So can you give me pointers on surviving the teens with 3 girls? I told them they can't be teenagers. They will go from the age of 10 to 21. Something tells me it's going to happen even if I don't want it to. LOL

Meds? They might be your only hope!

hehe I'm already thinking that now. Lol Mood swings and drama is making my head spin and the back talking is making my eye twitch.

What helped me the most is to find something to make them laugh themselves out of it. Buy something you can call your "Teen Pill" and have them fetch it when they are giving the most grief... have a bear you can talk to in front of them and have a conversation about teen eye-rolling. We had our things. My daughter was a dancer and one pose is called an "Attitude." I would always tell her she needed to give me a good attitude "And don't forget to point your toes!" I would threaten her with ridiculous punishments... "If you don't behave, that will be ten pirouettes!" Ask them if they want to send you on a trip to Doolally Land... Look up to the heavens and say "God, I know I was a teenager once, but did I really give my mother this much grief. Knock once for yes and nothing for 'no!'" Just think of the most silly things you can think of to break the tension and make them smile. If you can keep the peace between you and make them think of you with a smile and warm fuzzies, that is half the battle.

And as for the things they want to do that are just not permitted...
"Hmmm, good question. Let me see, do I want to let you go to the party with Fred until two AM. Hmmmm. Do I want to let you in a car with someone who has had his license for a week. Late at night when there are murderers and robbers roaming the streets and crazy hormones flying around. Until 2am when the werewolves and vampires are out? Let me think about it... Ask me again when the party is over!"

"You really think you can wear a skirt that short and a top that low. Let me grab a sharpie and colour in the areas that have to stay covered."
