I am finally back what a month it has been. My laptop the motherboard was toast tried two computers since then finally found one I can live with. Been in the Hospital and now we have plumbing problems hubby tried rodding the system but no luck so now had to call a plumber hate the thought of what this bill will be. I sure hope this is it money flying out but nothing coming in. So my question is I can not find my disc for photoshop elements 7 that I have used for since I started scrapping I see now how expensive PSE is and only good for a few years? What are you all using?

I'm using PSE 2024 with no intention of upgrading for the near future.

You might be able to login to the Adobe Website and find your purchase and redownload. I was able to do that for PSE 11 when I came back after a long absence. Just a thought!

I had gotten the program from a teacher it was free for students she was my designer but thanks the help...I see a lot of pse7 on ebay wonder why?

Affinity is now free. I use procreate, but I have been playing around with my affinity app and actually really like the way it makes the layouts look. There are a handful of artists who actually post their affinity scrapbooking videos on YouTube. Affinity is available on multiple platforms and not just iPad.

GIMP is free, and if you need to learn some tricks there's many tutorials on youtube

I use both Photoshop ($15 monthly) and Affinity Photo (free).
Mind you I only use the iPad version of Affinity but they do offer it for desktop as well! For me personally it was a very quick learn, there are a few things that took some getting used to, but now I pop from one program to the other with no trouble :)

I made some quick tutorials for the iPad version that I plan to post on YouTube in 2026, but it might also translate to the desktop version, at least it should give you some insight as to how the program operates. There are a lot of YouTube videos that are super helpful but I haven't found many specifically for scrapping. Mine are short and basic, but it should get you started at least :) Nothing really to lose since it is a free program.
