How many pictures?

I'm not knocking anyone with this question. So please don't think I am.

But I keep seeing these layouts that have like a 2-inch photo in one corner, a flower or some small embellishment and then the rest of the 12X12 layout is just a sheet of paper.

If I did that my albums would be a foot thick. I do have layouts with only one picture but they are 5X7 or 8X10 pictures. Normally I have four or five in a layout.

How many pictures do you put in a layout on average?

I'm usually not into 'white space' - the small single photo and minimal accents, but will occasionally if it is a title page or something to that effect.
I have a lot of photos so most pages have multiple pictures on them or something large to catch attention and perhaps a layered accent photo.

When printing books - gotta get those photos in there.

I LOVE white space minimalistic LOs, I think they are classy, uncluttered, restful and artistic. Sadly, I cannot seem to emulate them at all!! I start out with the intention and before I know it, my page is full up again!! Of course I blame Ginger and our fantastic designers....if they didn't put so much yummy goodness into the kits, I wouldn't have to use it all:D. As to the number of photos, I guess I would average 3 maybe. I frequently use only one though. What a great question.

It really depends on the purpose of the page for me. I don't print every page I create. Many times I simply create for my own enjoyment or to share with family and friends digitally and for that, one photo or even no photo is often the perfect amount.

For pages I scrap specifically for albums, it varies from 1-4ish photos per page. I find pages with too many photos, even in my albums, to be overwhelming to focus on and a distraction from the memories I'm trying to capture. I try to strike a balance between photos, story, and all the beautiful scrapbook goodies I love creating with when it comes to album pages. Sometimes, one perfect photo is all it takes. Sometimes, there's so many fun photos not to use!

I like minimalist layouts on occasion. A lot of times if I have an event or part of a trip that I know I'll scrap several pages for, I'll start out with a 1 photo layout, kind of as a warm up. Then I'll do a pocket style page or a multi photo page to go beside it. I think it gives a nice variety to my albums and a break for my eyeballs as I'm looking through. :)

I have to admit that most of the time I only put one photo on a page - maybe 2. If I want more than that then I got with a pocket style layout. I'm not a put an itty bitty photo and two things on a page kind of girl thought. I use a larger photo and trying to put in some clusters and other fun elements. However, while I make pages 12x12 pages, I print 8x8 books. So when the pages are sized down the photos really aren't that large.

I tend to focus on special moments and favorite photos versus documenting a whole event.

I like layouts with about 3 pictures. that what I find works best for me. although, lately I Have only been doing one picture since I haven't been well enough to do my own pictures and am using some my daughter has taken. I do like the white space look and have did a couple, but it isn't something I want a lot of in my books.

I try to get at least four to five photos per page but sometimes I only end up with one or two good photos so then I make those larger to fill the page. I’m not one for a lot of empty page space! But it’s definitelt a personal choice! If I’m going to print it I’m going to fill the page up!

Depends on the layout, who I am doing the layout for and what mood I am in lol
I love white space layouts but have also been known to cram as many photos into a layout as possible
My aim for this year is to scrap as many photos as I can and finally make an album this year

I take an average of 7000 photos a year, so yes, a 1-photo-a-page album for me would be ginormous! Every once in awhile I will though if I only end up with one, but I fill the rest of the space usually.
My average per page is 3-5

Depends on the size pages I am printing out. If I am doing a 12x12 printed album, I will do my layouts in double pages. One side will have a large picture, which may have a few small ones accenting it, and a second page with 10-20 pictures.

If I am doing a smaller book (8x8 maybe or a 5x7 calendar) then the number of pictures will be reduced to keep them easily visible after printing.

I also don't use "itty bitty" pictures... mainly because I have bad eyeballs, lol. also, like Miss Fish, I print 8x8, so an itty bitty, would really be itty, itty, bitty!

Most of my pages have 1 picture, but I load up with embellishments! I also create PL pages and those have anywhere from 1-7 pictures, depending if I took any that day. But for other pages or themed albums (mostly trips or such) I'll average 3 pictures.
