How do you scrap?

Just curious how everyone scraps large groups of photos? I am working my way through my disney album. I like to layout (usually with templates) all my pages first than go back and add all my papers, elements, etc. So just curious...

I usually always put my pictures in first to make sure I like the way they look. Then, like you, I go back and add paper, elements, etc.

I choose my photos first, then a template (usually) based on the # if photos. Then I pick a kit based on the colors/themes in the photos, Sometimes I fit the photos to the template first, sometimes I do the papers and embellishments first.

I'm backwards and scrap the layout, then find the photos! :D

Group photos: I just extend the photo area to fit the size/dimension of the photo and alter the elements/papers to fit said photo.

For vacations, I make a list of each event/ride/moment that I want to scrap. I scrap what seems easy or I'm in the mood for first by choosing the photos, template, then kit. I check off my list as I go.

When it's a book to be completed, I try to scrap in chronological order. It doesn't always happen that way. It depends on the kit, the template and CT commitments.

For an event like a holiday, I create a master folder and then sub folders of the pages I want to scrap. I then sort pictures into the subfolder. After that I will find the template / kit / etc. that suits what I am doing, I generally move a copy of the template into the folder - I am famous for saving over templates. Sometimes I move a copy of several themed kits into the master folder so all the pages have a consistent look. Not always, but sometimes. I also don't always use templates.

What I almost always do, though, is scrap in two page layouts so whatever the viewer sees together looks good. I usually do one big picture paid and then a second page with smaller pictures.

Depends, sometimes I pick a photo then a template & papers elements etc & sometimes I just open a kit & create a page & go back through my photos & find one that suits
Sometimes at work I am given an image & have to work around it & other times I am given free range so that crosses over into my scrapping

I usually have the photos in mind, and then find the kit. However, being on the creative team has caused me to switch this. If I know I have a certain kit to work with, I go in search of photos that work for the kit.

I first pick out all the photos. I don't always use templates, but when I have a large group of photos (I haven't done in a LONG time) that I want to scrap, I find templates. I add the photos and then find the kits.

For pages I'm printing in a book/album, I always start with the photos first then look for products that go with the theme or colors. I'm usually scrapping albums a year behind, which works out great with CT commitments, too. I don't have to wait to have Christmas photos, because I'm working on last year's photos. lol
