How Do you Make Your House feel Festive...

I take my stuff down in stages. The tree came down first, but I still have some of the Christmas swags and centerpieces hanging out. And I leave the lights and garland on my banister for at least a month...it makes me happy to come around the corner and see the room lit up...so I leave them!
 
I replace the Christmas decor with my regular decor (Americana) as soon as I can. But taking it down in stages is a great idea!
 
I swap out my regular stuff for Autumn, then Autumn for Christmas and then after Christmas my regular stuff comes back out. it is just changing seasons :)

Plus I have fairy lights all year round. When I look all around it is always magical...
 
Thanks Ladies. I tried to leave a few things out but hubby wanted it all "UP and PUT AWAY!!!!!!" all at once. Oh well...
 
That would be fun!!! My mom tried for a Valentine's day tree one year. Can you say "Fire Hazard"?
