How did you find Gingerscraps?

My beloved DigitalScrapbookPlace died and I went into mourning for 18 months thinking I wouldn't scrap again. When I was ready to start again, I dipped into a few sites...My Memories, Scrapbird, Digichick, ScrapsnPieces but couldn't make them work for me. I finally found Gingerscraps through internet searches, the store and forums appeared to be something like what I was used to, there seemed always to be a lot of people online, I like the product I saw in the store and I liked that no LO was ignored in the gallery, so here I am!!

I was here for a bit when I was first starting out in digi, then wandered around digi-land, frequenting some places that are gone, like A5D, 2Peas, Design House Digital, Scrap Orchard...trying different designers and stores, developing my style and now am finding what is the best fit for me. I love being here!

I cannot remember exactly what drew me here back in 2012. But I know at that time Nuts 4 Digi which was an Aussie owned site was starting to slowly die and I may have been looking for an alternative. I was at the time also very involved at Gotta Pixel which was where a lot of the same designers as here were in their store.

Somehow I saw some challenges by Just Because Studio on FB for INSD day. I took part in them and because I completed all the ones she posted, I won a design team guest spot for a month. I’ve been here since.

After DSP closed, I searched around and found Scrapbird, My Memories and SNP. Through SNP,I found this site and followed along.I took a hiatus for two years, then came back in 2018 and have been here since.

After the Digichick closed, :( I was lost and looking for a home. A few of the digichick designers were already here and a few others joined so I followed them. Best decision ever... I love it here. Just the right balance of talented designers, fun challenges, creative inspiration, and friendship!! Fun question btw! :)

I started out at DSP when it was very active, once it closed I drifted to several places including SNP and then ended up here. The community vibe here is very similar to how DSP was and I fell in love with it here. I took two years off scrapbooking completely and am now back!

My first home was GottaPixel. I was on Kristmess' creative team and she sold here, too, so when Gotta Pixel closed while I was breaking from scrapping, I came back to here!

I was at Digital Scrapbook Place also until they closed. While they were active, though, I was on their Digital Elite Team (their CT) and was hunting for places to post my layouts. I found GS when I was hunting and was so excited every time I got a comment on one of the layouts. I browsed through the forums and thought how incredibly friendly the site was.

I lost heart after DSP closed and stopped scrapping for a while. We kept an active group on Facebook and someone mentioned that our Jill was there - I went looking for her, found her and was so incredibly thrilled that I started scrapping here.

I love it here.

I love it here.

I love it here.

It is still the friendliest site around. SO - Sugar Cookies - you won my heart.

I had to do a little research for this...

2011 was my starting year. I joined a few months after I began scrapping, probably to get the Daily Download or some kind of freebie. I was a freebie addict!

2013 I posted my first LO here. It took two years of lurking! My beloved Scrappity-Doo-Dah closed and I puttered around a few sites trying to find a new home.

2014 I started participating more in challenges and the forum. GS started to feel like a place I could find my new scrappy home. Everyone was so friendly and supportive! I hopped on the Cookie Platter, and eventually the site CT.

I can't believe I've been a part of GS for so long! What a fun trip down memory lane :)

Once I came back from my scrapping hiatus, I followed Connie Prince here from Gotta Pixel. Everyone is so friendly here and I love I, so here I stay! :D

Popping in to say this whole thread made me SMILE and even feel a little emotional <3
I love hearing each and everyone of your stories!! Thank you all for being part of our family!!

I have no idea what brought me here originally. I know I loved the challenges, the wonderful comments in the gallery and the fantastic designers. I have stayed because it just feels like home. I go to other places and just never feel as comfortable, or as welcomed.

It was in 2009 when I first came here. I know because I was checking for wedding ribbons and I saw this website. Back then I was still paper scrapping so I didn't really bother to make an account. Then in 2011, I ct'ed for Luv Ewe Designs and this is her home store. Then I ct'ed for Sophie of Keep In Touch Designs and we were both from another store, and when she guest here, it was easy since I was already here. But when the store I ct'ed for closed in 2013, I moved and stayed here. It was also easy because Katie and Connie are here.
