Holy learning curve, Batman!

I just switched over from PSE 10 to 13..... oh lordy! It's a good thing that I don't have another LO to do for a bit, since it's going to take some time to figure this out!

Any particularly helpful hints from PSE 13 user GREATLY appreciated! :)

The first and biggest tip I can give you - is that everything you drag from the photo bin becomes a 'smart object' - they will have a check-mark next to the image in layers panel. Which is great as you size up or down and they remain sharp and clear. But... you need to "simplify" all them before re-sizing the page for the web - or you will end up with white space around all the smart objects! I wait until I have most of the elements, photos, etc in place and sized the way I want, then I go to the Layers panel and left click on one of the smart objects which will cause a pop-up. Select chose similar objects - this should select all the other smart objects. Then right click on "simplify" and they are all simplified! I wish someone had told me this quick trick when I first got PSE13 as I spent lots of time doing them one at a time.

BTW, I am sure you will love PSE13 once you get used to it. There are lots more bells and whistles on it than earlier versions. Have fun!

LOL! I have PSE 11 and really like it. I don't plan to switch until they have something that I REALLY need! I had thought about switching to PS, but I don't think I need that aggravation in my life! hehe Good luck, Lori!

I am still using pse7 but I have pse11 and absolutely HATE it. I always revert back to 7, it does everything I need it to do, I don't need the frustration of learning something new lol.
