Holiday Weekend - Clever Ideas for fun Events?

In the US, we have a holiday weekend this weekend, but since we are in the midst of a pandemic, things are just a little different this year. Does anyone have any clever ideas for connecting with friends and family and staying safe at the same time?

I am feeling a little unenthused with all of the unrest and what have you. I would love for some creative ideas to lift my spirits.

I was going to do some 4th of July baking but decided to simplify the weekend. We are at the lake house, just the three of us and Tigger.. We don’t plan on seeing anyone, just planning on enjoying the weekend in nature! The past couple of years we have not really done much on this holiday. If we are in Nashville we usually watch the fireworks show the golf course puts on behind our house.. but here at the lake you can hear them but not see them. I’m really okay with this being a calm uneventful weekend personally.

For better or worse I am an extreme introvert so avoiding people doesn’t bother me much. As long as I have somewhere to point my camera.
