My name is Paula. I'm a 69-year-old widow (15 years now) with two daughters and three grandchildren (two boys and a girl, ages 13, 11 & 8). I've been scrapbooking on and off since I was sixteen and my mother handed me a book box full of photos, report cards, programs from various school plays, etc., movie tickets... well, you get the picture. After doing my first scrapbook, I kept up pretty well year to year until I had my second baby. From then on, between the two girls and all their various activities, scrapping became kind of hit and miss until I finally gave up. Then along came digital cameras, and later, the grandchildren, and now I'm not creating annual boxes of scraps and photos - everything is saved on the computer (with backup) and so now I'm learning to scrap digitally. Thanks to all you wonderful designers, I no longer need to scan background papers, embellishments, etc. It has become a lot more fun, and I am slowly scanning older photos and scrapbook pages to save them from deteriorating due to the mistake of using non-acid-free rubber cement. I might even live to get caught up!
