After a bit of a slow start getting registered I am happy to be here...looks like a wonderful creative place to spend time....I am retired (had a home Daycare for 39 years) and loving it....loved the DC too but time to play full time'
We have a son and daughter and 5 grandsons ages 7-17. I started out as a paper scrapper and about 10 years ago switched to Digi...I do card making and paper crafts to use the thousands of $$$ of supplies I had piled up....relieves the guilt a bit. LOVE Digital.....just upgraded to PSE 13....I am a pretty basic scrapper....usually my LO's look like they could very easily be done in Paper. I'm starting to step out of the box a bit now and then and learn new techniques

We live in ND...Used to be the "Prairie" but is now the "Oil Boom Country" The population has exploded!!!! A whole new environment for we "old timers". We shall adapt.

Looking forward to getting to know you and your site.

Welcome! I just went to ND for the first time this summer (my stepson just moved there) The burgers up there are the BEST!

Hey Carol!

I grew up in MN and my mom did daycare for most of the years I was in school! I also paper scrapped and can totally relate to the guilt of giving it up to go to digital after all the $$$ spent on paper supplies!

Glad you found us here at GS! Its the best place! :D

Hello! Welcome to Gingerscraps! I can totally relate to paperscrapping-supply-guilt! When I totally converted to digi, I sold most of my supplies which helped me buy my laptop. I only kept my absolute favorite tools, but still have BOXES of paper. One of these days I'll figure out something to do with them!

Hi Carol! Welcome to Gingerscraps!! I am in awe of you for having a daycare for 39 years...you must have lots of love and patience!! Can't wait to see your layouts in the gallery!

Hi Carol! I too did card making for a number of years... LIke I was telling another newcomer "I was a rubber stamper (also used polymer clay for jewellery/jewelry making and card embellishments for a few years until I got too busy with work and couldn't wait for glue and paint and stuff to dry. Shame because I loved it but on the other hand digital scrapping is fun, my supplies are all in ONE little black box (my hard drive) "

I hope you love it here, it's a nice place to hang out.

Don't you love retirement? I retired over 2 years ago from a lifetime of teaching, but I'm busier now, than I ever was. It's a fun busy though. :) Welcome to GingerScraps!
