Hi from Central Illinois!

I've been lingering around for awhile, but never formally introduced myself. My name is Tammy, and I just recently retired from designing (Memories by Digital Design). I am currently on Ponytails Designs and Magical Scraps Galore's Creative Teams. I've been scrapbooking for almost 20 years, digitally almost 8 years.

I'm married, have 3 children (almost 21, almost 14, and 8). The youngest is the only one in the home right now, as the oldest one lives with her boyfriend in Mesa, AZ and the middle child lives with his mother full-time. We live in Central Illinois, almost exactly between Chicago and St. Louis.

I'm a die-hard Duke Blue Devils basketball fan, and could really care less about any other sport. Although I do support my husband's teams...for his sake. I work full-time out of the home as a Senior Video Production Coordinator at State Farm Insurance's Corporate Headquarters. Our department handles mostly internal media needs, but also any advertising for agents. We have been getting more into the commercial space recently.

Scraps N Pieces was my home for many, many years, but since they recently had to close, I knew GingerScraps was the right fit for me and my style (especially since Natasha and Marina sell here also.)

Hi Tammy,

The mention of State Farm gives me an idea where you are. I grew up in Mt. Vernon and my husband is from the Alton area, but we lived in Peoria for a bit before moving to NC.

Great to see you here at GS!!

Small world!! My parents are from the Benton/Sesser area which is just south of Mt. Vernon.

Definitely. I dated a guy from Sesser when I was in high school.

My best friend lives in Fairbury and works for the radio station in Pontiac.

So glad you decided to make GS your new home.
 
HI Tammy!! So happy you are here, welcome!! I've also been scrapping for almost 20 years :) But only digitally since 2012 when I joined the Christmas in July Challenge here at Gingerscraps. Looking forward to getting to know you better! xoxo...

Small world...I worked for State Farm for 13 years in Tempe, AZ. Spent a few weeks in Bloomington for training and worked in Agency Administration/Agency Resources for the last 10 1/2 years I was with the company. Had some great times, when Corporate folks would come out and shoot commercials with a few of the agents in our area. :)

Wow!! Definitely a small world! I think you're the first State Farmer I've come across online that scraps! :)
 
Well, it is great that you are on the creative teams, and it is great to have you here! I'm sure there are lots of people here you have things in common with!
