I want to organize a scrapbooking event at the library I work at. OPINIONS NEEDED.
- I want to it be a two-hour event. Is that enough time?
- Aiming for 6 tables together hosting maybe 12 to 15 people.
- Not sure if I'm able to get emails of those that signed up asking them to bring pictures or things they might want to use or things others may want to use.
- Planning on putting a piece of card stock and a few pre-cut pieces of paper (maybe two or three coordinated colors) in a page protector. Add in a few generic stickers.
- Put a couple of scissors, adhesives and markers on each table.
- Having two side tables. One for extra stickers and possibly extra pre-cut shapes (think early Creative Memories cut paper). The other table will have paper cutters, fancy scissors, circle cutters. This table will be monitored by my son who knows how to use the items. (Don't want good stuff disappearing also)
- Maybe putting a computer screen up
1- to show my layouts (or post some around the room or in binder on table)
2- to show while discussing scrapbooking basics, tools, reason to scrapbook, etc.
- Order of events
1- Thinking of having attendees select color choice packet on entrance and leave at table unopened.
2- Discuss scrapbooking (see 2 above)
3- Discuss how rest of evening will work with other tables
4- Free to work (Have extra packets for those that finish early)
5- Circulate room and give help
6- Clean up
- Most of the paper and stickers are things I no longer need or want. I weeded my supply.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks,
LilyAnn
