HELP! Text is all CAPITALS!

I'm using PSE 11 on pc with Windows 7 Pro. I've never had trouble with it until now. Suddenly, when I use my horizontal text tool, all my fonts are in capital letters. I've tried everything to fix it back to normal, but can't find the issue. It was fine last night, but today it's gone crazy. I feel like I may have done something inside of using a template that caused this to happen, like perhaps trying make a substitution for a missing font when working with a template layer?? Whatever I've done, I can't seem to find the cure.

Hope somebody can help. I've restarted the program, rebooted the computer; still not fixed. It continues to behave this way even though I open a new document and try to add text.

I will remove the program and reinstall if I have to, but was hoping somebody has the cure without going through all that.

I didn't see what Jen said, but I know on photoshop in the text options there is a spot to click that makes whatever you type capital, make sure that ISNT checked or clicked.

Hopefully you've figured it out!!

After much internet investigation, I thought to consult the Adobe scrapbooking guru, and I hope you all know who that is. Went to her forum and searched the threads. Found the trick.

I was using PSE 11 when this annoying problem occurred. There is no reset tool option in there anymore, at least not that I could find. I was ready to uninstall the entire program and reinstall it to see if that would fix the problem. Luckily I found her answer before I went through all that because that does not fix this problem either.

The trick is to close the program. Restart it by clicking on your icon. Then you hold down three keys together; shift, control, plus alt and keep holding them down while starting the program (by clicking on "photo editor"). As the program boots up, you get a little pop-up screen that asks if you want to delete the "preferences setting file". Answer yes, and continue opening the program. Your preferences are totally cleared, so you have to reset them, but small price to pay, and the problem is fixed.

Yeah! She ROCKS!! There's nothing she doesn't know about Adobe's software!!
