HELP!! Pulling my hair out.

I cannot figure out what is going on. have been doing lo. saving them as a psd, then print size and then save for web. I worked this afternoon on a lo and when I try to save it for the web. it won't save it has a JPEG under format it says "images only" and I can't change it. I have tried like 10 times. This is making me crazy.
please please help
 
this is nuts. I have Looked everywhere on the web and can't figure it out. I am so upset I took the next couple days off and I planned on scrapping. I feel like crying
 
Hi Peggy, first of all take a big deep breath! We've all been at that frustration level at some time. I'm having a sleepless night, so don't know if you'll see this tonight. It would really help to know what program you are using , which version, and what operating system, Windows or Mac. I can help with Windows. have used PSE 2-15, just switched to PSCC 2017 a few months ago. Knowing that information will get you help quicker.
 
ohh thanks!!! I Just did the desktop challenge and tried to save it and got the same thing. it was small enough that I could put in the gallery, but I couldn't post it on the thread.
I am using PSE 14 and WIndows
 
I have been trying to find something on the internet to explain this for last two hours and can't find anything
 
I'll help you post it on the thread. When I do it I have two tabs open, one for thread I'm posting in, and one with my lo open in my gallery.
1. with your layout open on it's own page (not the thumbnail from the gallery) place your cursor anywhere on your layout (it will turn into a + sign, right click, when the menu opens click copy
2. switch to the tab where you have the thread open, go down to the reply box and do a ctrl/v or right click and then click paste do not click post reply yet
3. go back to the tab with your open layout, copy the address from the address line at the top of the window
4. go back to the tab with the thread and paste the address into the same reply box with your photo
5. now you are ready to post your reply

do you think i need to install PSE 14 again?
I have tried everything that I have read ...nothing says anything about Format " images only"
 
Peggy - Did you figure it out? I tried to run through a few things to see if I could get mine to do what you are describing and can not. Just wondering if turning off the computer and rebooting might "fix" whatever the problem is.
 
I was up until 4 am that night in a panic. I called adobe support and they told me it was just a glitch to uninstall it and reinstall it so I uninstalled and went to install it again and DVD player stopped working...with the cd in it halfway through. I was reading and it said you could DL it on adobe if you had all the right numbers etc. which I did, but every time I put them in it would say not valid. and I knew that they were. SO finally after search their website I found 24 hour online help and an awesome gentleman verified all my numbers and gave the link to DL it!! So 4 hours later all was good!!!
