Hi everyone!

Rumor has it that I was here once before but I don't think I did more than register. Regardless, I've been on a making binge lately and hunting for new inspiration everywhere. I work as a youth (teens and tweens) librarian in Oklahoma where I run around dressed like Harry Potter, get hauled off in handcuffs by the police, and build things like fireplaces and dementors. And that was just last month! In my spare time, I love card-making, stamping and scrapping.

Quandary for the day: Digi-scrap vs. paper scrap. I do love to paper scrap, but digiscrap is so much more versatile. And the look of a finished, printed and bound photobook outshines my wieldy, bulging scrapbook by miles. But paper scrapping is so very fun!

In my spare time (that doesn't actually exist), I'm a foster mom. I'm on hiatus right now because sometimes life happens, but I miss my babies! So I'm scrapping them instead, and hoping circumstances will work out to bring a new kiddo home soon.

That's enough about me; tell me about YOU!

Hi Wrynne! What a cool name! You are an angel to help foster youth. Bless you for doing so! I too started as a paper scrapper. I love not having the mess when I am finished! Welcome to GS!

I don't think you need to make a decision between them. I do BOTH! I hope we get to see your creations in the gallery. We also support HYBRID scrapping - where you use both! We have a fabulous gallery of things like that.

I am Lynnie, live in Southern California - work a lot and love to scrap to keep myself sane!

And.... We hope to see some layouts posted soon. We love commenting on layouts :)

Welcome (back)!! When I started digi-scrapping I told myself I was just going to do a book for my good friends 40th birthday, but I’d never give up paper scrapping. After all, I owned a scrapbook store for a few years and had ALL these awesome supplies stock-piled. 6 years later and I have to dust the papers on my paper racks every now and again. I absolutely fell in love with everything about digi. It fills all those creative areas I was missing with paper scrapping. Like stitching on pages (too difficult) and paint splatters (too messy) and detailed clusters (too bulky) and photo blending (too... well, impossible!) All scrappers are beautiful people though, paper cuts, heat embosser burns, carpal tunnel, maxed out hard drive space... we’re all just memory keepers!!

It is quite tempting. One of these days I will probably do it. And then my completionist OCD will require me to go back and digiscrap the things I've already done in paper so I can print the whole thing out as one book >.< And thank you!

Yes, I noticed the word hybrid several times. I haven't quite figured it out yet, but it looks intriguing!

Nice to meet you :D

I agree! I do have much stockpiling going on at my place as well, but yes, my books are entirely too bulky. It is so fun to look through them though. I love being able to see how everyone here keeps their memories. SO. MUCH. CREATIVE!

Hello, and welcome back, hope to see you around and looking forward to seeing some of your layouts, we have a lot of challenges here and would love to see you there... :)

I LOVE challenges. Totally why I'm here... it gets my backside in gear to actually do the things. All the things. Well... some of the things. A few things, at least, which is better than no things.

Seriously, I want to get my kiddos' book done before I'm dead. I only have thirty or forty years so I need some serious help.

Hello and welcome !
You sound like a very fun person :)
Looking forward to your LOs

Hello! Thank you!

I do try to sound like a fun person online; that way, no one on the Internet will know I'm actually a cantankerous old bat. I'm going to be the old codger in the nursing home snarling "Merry BLEEDING CHRISTMAS already!" at everyone in a few years.

I'm looking forward to everyone ELSE's LO's! And the kick in the pants needed to make me get some pages done ;)

Nice to meet you!

Hi and welcome to Gingerscraps. Sounds like a very busy and rewarding life.
I love my switch to digi but still have a lot of the paper stuff.
Jump in and have fun with us.

Welcome! We're glad you joined us! Let us know if you have any questions along the way. We're happy to help. :)

I have completely given up on paper scrapping myself, even though I have tons of it stockpiled in my basement. I even do all my cards digitally now too.
